One of my favorite Rhone go-to wines and a stunning value at 16 bones if you can find it. Medium body, dark dark in the glass. Nose is packed with tar, earth, black rasberries, plums, pepper, and baking spices that make me think of cinammon. Concentrated rich black fruits coat and settle into the palate in layers, bringing loads of licorice and pepper through a 15-20 second finish. So deeply fruity some might call it a bomb, but this is …

Ripe and exotic, but nevertheless well-balanced and lively. Delicious, spicy grenache. Fantastic value. I would drink this over the next 3 to 4 years.

Rich, earthy aromatics, on the palate full bodied rich fruit with some well integrated tannins. Soft mouthfeel and a nice long finish, this is an excellent QPR, about $16. Almost too much fruit but manages to maintain enough balance to produce a full, rich inexpensive rhone. Im curious to try some of Lesec's other '03 offerings.
