Popped and poured. Leafy plum aroma. Clean, rich flavors of cassis and tobacco, drying tannins and an element I am tempted to call garrigue in the tart cherry finish. Young, complex, firm backbone, unusual. Italian at the core, but with a spiritual connection to the Rhone.
