Still keeping well, offering a dark fruit core on mixed spices and an overall refined impression. Some tertiary, rather light touch notes such as cedar and tobacco add a little complexity. A pleasant bottle.

The wine looks ruby colored, with hints of garnet. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells blossom with biscuity. It tastes like unripe fruit, and hints of biscuity. The body is medium. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

A solid merlot-driven northern Medoc. Dark, dry, rich and quite long, but also fairly one-dimensional. Earth and cherryfruit. Reminds me of Potensac in a lesser way or Le Grandes Chenes. Should keep for 5 years plus and is good value.

With one of the highest concentrations of Merlot in the Haut Medoc appellation at, 85% Merlot, the rest of the blend is Cabernet Sauvignon. From limestone and clay terroir the estate likens to St. Emilion. Licorice, black cherry and earth aromas, medium body and a fresh, bright cherry personality are found in this wine. Consulted by Stephane Derenoncourt, this is a Jeffrey Davies Signature Selections Exclusive. 86-88 Pts

Nog mooi en vol van smaak, zacht, nog ietwat tannines, lange afdronk, boven verwachting.

Pop-n-poured: Nice garnet color. Not overly acidic. Balanced acids? Immediate smell and taste of black olives? I've seen this wine described as pencil shavings and I definitely agree. Not much on the fruit side. Dusty and minerally. Poured a full glass through the Vinturi and the above still holds.
