Fantastic nose that started off quite reductive, but eventually showed fragrant notes of citrus, white flowers, and a lot of minerals. Great acidity on the palate with deep and rich flavors of apples, lemon, more minerals, and a hint of yellow fruit. Great balance and long finish. This was excellent! Complex and delicious and only blossomed with air. Should have years if not decades left.

BYOB dinner NOTK (NOTK, Rotterdam) : This was just marvelous, the freshness at 17 years, the complexity was just amazing! Medium+ intensity; Oxidative and also some reduction. Fresh, lean and crips. High acidity, long finish

On the nose: Flinty reduction, honey and ripe citrus fruits. On the palate: Oxidative notes, lots of minerality, ripe citrus and lots of crisp acidity. Long lingering finish. Wine of the night for me right up my alley, great minerality and complexion. Felt so youthful blind I would never have guessed that it would have this much age on it.

Going very strong. Fierce tension and acidity, long savory / mineral finish. My only complaint is a touch of bitterness on the finish.

Drinking well. Its age shows with rich butterscotch notes.

Grassy, fresh, a bit sharp nose. Palate is salty, mineral, pickles, stalky. Very solid structure. Not entirely typical of topped-up Jura, but one could tell that this is a wine with personality.

Ugh. This is so good. Searing acidity, a note of honey, pickled raisins, salt. Gorgeous.

Pale 14k gold. The nose is bright lemon, wool, and a little smoke. The palate is intense and clean, overripe apples, citrus, and a bit of old wood (which was gone the next day). Tart, medium finish. Overall a penetrating but lean version of chardonnay, to me tasted agelessly fresh. Enjoyed with chicken Diablo.

Blind tasted and guessed a top notch mineral Meursault. There is one pervading smell and taste with this wine: lighted matches. You either will love it like me or find it too dominating. Flinty, matchstick nose. Similar mineral, flinty palate with some pear. The acidity is not strong but is still there to hold it together but above all this is ultra mineral. Looking at the other tasting notes it does not seem to me the same wine as the …

Blind tasting for my guest. First nose very expressive of flint, keffir juice , yeast, sulfur from lighted matches, and some gwano. Mouth much more classic and reassuring: well structured like a great mineral Meursault, with a lot of substance, white pepper, long palate ending on a delicate coffee bitterness (typical of jura region for me). Monolithic and excellent

My first Ganevat with a little age, and it was just terrific. I don't find any reduction on this one, just a bracing and lively acidity marked with tropical fruit and tart apple. Zippy and popping with a lot power in reserve. Youthful Really interesting stuff. Wish I had some more to follow.

My first Ganevat with a little age, and it was just terrific. A bracing and lively acidity marked with tropical fruit and tart apple. Zippy and popping a wiry dance on the palate.

Extremely reductive at first, this needed quite a bit of air. Concentrated tart citrus fruit and that lovely salty mineral dry extract you get in good Jura wines, with lots of acid. My best experience with Ganevat so far, after a few disappointing bottles.

Ganevat doesn't make burgundy like wines, so don't make the comparison. It is a powerful wine with terroir and a good balance, needing a lot of aeration. Just at the end you notice a little sharpness, due to the vintage.
