See through dullish reddish garnet in colour with no visible sediment. Aromas seem quite fresh and vibrant. Red berries, cranberries, baking spices (cloves/cinnamon). Slight "heavy" or dense element to the aromas fruit component. Fruit hits immediately with sweet/ripe red berries and cranberries with a touch of baked cherries and blueberries coming through as well. Light to medium in weight. Baking spices, and a subtle woodiness. Also a flatish cola taste coming through. The sweetness to the fruit goes through to …

Somewhat more astringent today than in previous bottles. Still very nice though

Baked cherry and cranberry along with cloves and cinnamon. Medium body, and fairly short finish.

Not sure if this was whole cluster or not but it had a very odd taste and texture that I couldn't get over. Some good fruit and Pinot characther underneath.

A two sided coin, this wine. One the one side there's bright, sweet red and blue fruit - all out bubblegummy sweet. But then there's this sour, stemmy, woody side, and the two sides clash with each other. The sour woodiness is all that lingers on the finish.

Beautiful nose. Exuberant. Smoky cranberry with tinges of darker fruits. 3 yr old vines. Slightly cloudy. Lithe and fresh. A little astringent on the finish. Savory. Strong across the palate. Persistent.

Third time I've had this with consistent notes. Very nice with good burgundian sensibility and the generosity of fruit of a new world pinot. Nose shows tangy cherries, pomegranite, cranberry, woodsy twigs and cold chai tea. Palate had light tannic grip with good levels of acid noted. Repeats lovely red fruit and light mixed spice on the medium finish. Good reliable wine in an understated but enjoyable style.

A Visit to Pearl Morissette (Niagara, Ontario, Canada) : Very pretty and Burgundian styled pinot! Nose is loaded with chai tea, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, autumnal soil, fully ripe red fruit (cherries, dried cranberry), ginger and grapefruit. I'm a big fan of this style. It's up there with some of the best Niagara Pinots I've had. Palate is soft and the finish is a bit on the short side of things. Medium tannins. Good minerality on the finish. A bargain at …
