Part of a larger wine pairing but have to leave a note here just to confirm how stunning this is. Incredibly beautiful, fragrant nose, I got reminded of dried plums, exotic spices and soy sauce, some volatile aacidity a bit reminiscent of Musar (shoe polish...). Soft, layered, elegant palate, touch of sweetness, effortlessly beautiful. Wow. Had this blind and thought more about something like mature northern Piedmont, but the tannic structure of course didn't match.. Anyway, stunning. 18.5/20

Moden meditasjonsvin på en lørdagskveld. Sval vin med både røde og mørke bær, garrigue, sjokolade og noe anis på nesen. Delikat og kjølig munnfølelse, essensen av de fleste Rhône-aromaer jeg kommer på i munnen også. Fikk kjøpt en flaske for maaange år siden, og helt umulig å få tak i nå dessverre 🥲

Perfume, confection, red fruit, wood spice, layered, savoury, jap soy sauce, intact cherries, blooming dark florals. Turkish delight. Elegant structure, lifted, with a classy funky streak. with time, acid rises, yet sweet. clean and drinking at peak. Excellent stuff! perfect with a late-night steak + aged iberico with tajik pikelets, wrapped with artisanal seaweed sheets.

Single piece cork, no sign of seepage. Nice dense cork, 5%saturation at most. Popped and poured. Tasted over 3h. As much as I thought this was going to be overhyped for an entry level domaine wine, I was struck by the similarities with the other well known Reynaud estates. Beautiful aromatic florals on the nose - rose petal, sandalwood as patchouli incense, forest berries. Silky structure, pronounced tea-leaf and balanced. Elegant, translucent, inviting, lifted. Some development, probably doesn’t need more time. Yums!

Back to the auctions (Bar Bould Sud) : Man I love these wines. Baby Rayas. Of course not as complex as the main event, but there's a lovely elegance and tea leaves and fruit and I just very much enjoy these. Unfortunate they've jumped so much.

Carafé 6 heures. Semble gagner en puissance avec le temps. Intenses arômes de cassis et fraises, herbes de Provence, thym et romarin, poivre et surtout d’olives. Une bouche sur le même registre, puissante et structurée et très spéciale au goût, longue finale. Un vin qui ne se boit pas en quelques gorgées mais j’ai adoré ce style particulier et atypique de ce que je vois habituellement.

Un nez éclatant sur l'orange sanguine, c'est un vin tout a fait typique de Reynaud, avec des herbes, épices, olives, le vin est tellement parfumé et profond en flaveurs qu'il rappel justement des grands parfum. Unique wine, very light orangey twinged colour. The wine smells like a margetita pizza, with tomatoe sauce and dried herbs like oregano and a touch of lavender. This savoury hebaciousness comes across on the palate, with medium plus acid and a little bit of pepper/ spice. A lighter, intriguing, food friendly wine with charm.

En bouche, on retrouve les mêmes arômes, mais beaucoup plus de complexité que ce que j'avais décelé sur ce vin dans d'autres millésimes: épices douces, poivre, prunes, herbes de Provence. Surprise qu'il n'y ait pas l'amertume ou le côté un peu rustique déjà retrouvé avec ce vin auparavant. Excellent!
