I was looking for a wine to open while grilling, and I found this bottle in our wine cellar. Very soft tannins and low acidity allowing layers of graphite, black cherries, toast, ripe figs and blackberries. A very enjoyable wine with a long finish. A pleasant surprise from a remote corner in our cellar.

Enjoyed with Grilled Lamb chops and wild rice pilaf. Great structure with just enough fruit remaining. Happy to have one more left and will likely hold for a couple more years.

Inky with nice acidity and smooth tannins. The blackberry & plumb came through as did spices. Recommend pairing with something more substantial than the pasta I had with it.

Really drinking well at this stage. Medium to full body, strawberry, red raspberry, and red floral components. Smooth and silky finish with balanced acidity.

full bodied, with plum notes to balance the high cherry tones

Had this during Cab Franc blind tasting. Very deep color with cherry, fig and vanilla dominating. Great finish with toasted oak and low tannins. Wine did lack the earthiness expected in a Cab Franc.

Not a bad wine, but doesn't come close to justifying its $90 price tag. Decanted for 3 hours. It was very smooth for 2009, but I've had Better wines in the $20-$30 range.

Tasted at winery. This was light bodied but very open with great layer of raspberry and tobacco.

Opened and tasted last night, but did not take notes. I had a bottle of Hopkins Cab Franc open when this came in our wine club shipment and opened to compare. This was so smooth and earthy with a good amount of new oak. The wine explodes with berries, smokiness, tobacco and a touch of coffee. This is a heavy wine and if you are a Cab Franc fan, this can't be missed. The price is a high at $90 …
