DaP. Dark garnet red, slim yellow rim, 6.5. Opulent spicy bouquet, pine, green pepper, dark fruits, really complex and keeping the freshness, after 3h more meaty components appears. Intense harmonious palate, enough tannin to match the beef stew, long spicy finish. Drink now - 2018. Excellent. Now I read my earlier notes from 2013 and they hold all the way. Bravo twice!!

Decanted and poured. Dark red, thin yellow rim, 5.5. Opulent and fresh nose dominated by green pepper and pine, fruity sweetness behind. On the palate it is tremendously well balanced with fruit, pepper, spice, and tannin. Ending up in a long finish. Drink now - 2018. This wine has a fantastic structure making it drinkable over many years. Bravo.

Beautiful mature color, Big on the nose with a lot of meaty aromas. The fruit has definetely turned into more complex, mature aromas. Big in the mouth as well, mature, dark fruit with hints to charketuries. Should be consumed immedeattely.

Opaque. Big spicy nose with lots of dark sweet fruit. Full bodied with spicy dark berries in the mouth. It probably qualifies as a dryish wine but the alcohol gives it a distinctly sweet touch. Keep!

Very dark intense black-red, slim rim just beginning to turn from red to yellow, 6. Expressive nose dominated by pebbery syrah, sweet berries, but also some alcohol like a light port. Intense masculine taste, red berries, tannin, strong (alcohol), bitterness on the finish. Drink now - 2013. Although it still is a massive wine, it has mellowed somewhat over the years. Fine together with a winter stew!

Oozing with dark berry flavors, licorice and sweet chocolate. Long, warm aftertaste. A very nice drink but lacks a bit in complexity.

Smoky with plums on the nose. Layer of black olives and plums leading to a long finish.

Opaque, dark purple. Big, explosive and lovely nose of licorice, blueberries, green olives, menthol, pine needles, black cherries, cloves, white pepper, aniseed, thyme. Full-bodied with lush fruit, yet with a spine of soft tannins and acidity. Long finish. This bottle was really singing, the best yet.

This was a decent wine with just a little too much of a milky quality. There was good spice and acidity. Not a lot of power or depth. It’s also not very distinctive in terms of terroir.

after a bad experence with a bad bottle, i was a little worried this one might not deliever. but it did! the wine smells veryripe and fresh, reminds me a bit of a cali petite syrah. still very dark in the glass with a purple rim, the nose explodes with ripe black current, all spice, juniper, vanilla and a very, very slight burnt rubber tone. firm and structured tannins are smooth down the gullet but leave their spicy mark.

Picked up this bottle tonight. I had never heard of it, but for $14, I'll give it a try. Sign in the store said it rated 92 Parker points, although I can't find it mentioned in #151. Back of the bottle says the flavors are raspberry and blackcurrant, cloves and vanilla. Cloves: hmm, I wonder if I could identify that flavor? Actually, the back of the bottle has a lot of information on the wine-making. Anyway, popped the cork and …
