The Bruery Rugbrod (Julebryg-Style Dark Rye Ale)

I haven't had Rugbrød in a few years, and honestly I'd forgotten just how much I like it! It's definitely one of the simpler beers that The Bruery produces, but this isn't a bad thing: just dark malts with rich, peppery rye character, fermented with a yeast that leads to a clean, crisp swallow and an earthy, bread-like finish. It's the kind of beer that's trying to do something unique in a simple way, and succeeds on all accounts.
