This is a phenomenal bottle of Foillard, Gamay, Beaujolais, Morgon. It is a top expression of all these categories. Delightfully floral and young on the nose, with notes of cherry, strawberry, violet, and granite. It also tastes young and fresh, featuring strawberries, granite gravel, violet, and Earl Grey. The texture is fine, and there is a slight stemmy tannin bite. It is very clean and is probably among the most Burgundy-like wines I have tasted from Beaujolais.

Le vin émane des arômes rappelant le champs de fleurs, les petits fruits rouges, la pierre concassée L’attaque en bouche est fraîche comme une rose dans la rosée du matin, elle s’élance avec finesse et élégance, tout est en place, c’est un coup de cœur! Prêt à boire, pour encore 2-3 ans.

Très beau Morgon, bien fondu, toujours vif, sur la cerise croquante, la canneberge, pointe florale et pierre concassée. Rien n’accroche, tout est fluide, un peu simple pour le prix mais hautement digeste et très appréciable!

Zuni Cafe Chicken Night (Brad's Place, St. Paul, MN) : Medium dark red color. Drank a glass plus over 90 minutes. Darker fruits, a little bitter earth, graphite and dried tobacco, with the palate showing some dried cherry, bitter cherry pit, and scorched earth with a bit more tannin to me. Medium plus bodied. While I thoroughly enjoyed both, I found the Py to be more elegant.

Brad's Winner Winner Zuni chicken dinner night. BB,KB,ML & I. Brad's btl. Enjoyed this much more than my '16 Folliard Morgan Cote du Py in the same flight. Intriguing aromas of cigar ash, spice & underbrush. More lifted, refined and focused than my btl. Pretty mineral infused, sappy red fruit & spice. Reminds me a little bit of Chambolle Musigny in weight & elegance. I'll buy one for our house when I see it.

Popped and poured but should have decanted for sediment. Medium ruby color, slightly cloudy. Nose of cranberry, earthy floral notes, pomegranate, a bit of strawberry. Very pretty. Similar flavors on the palate with a mix of juicy red fruits, pepper, earth and a bit of rusty iron/minerality on the back end. Medium+ acid, medium tannin and body. Really in a good place but room to develop.

Beau Morgon Corcelette qui émane une très grande fraicheur, tout en finesse, sur de jolies nuances florales et les petits fruits rouges. Ça ne manque pas de profondeur et l'allonge est sensuelle. Toutefois, je m'attendais à un peu plus à ce prix, mais c'est tout de même très satisfaisant.

Juste beau, entre finesse et maturité fraiche, la quadrature du cercle! Un nez de gamay pur, gourmand et mûr, acidulé pourtant, cerise, épicé, ensorcelant! Il a perdu le coté floral de sa jeunesse (reviendra t’il ??), se montrant plus epicé, plus solaire, mais pas cuit! Pas du tout!! En bouche, l’amplitude acidulée est d’une belle élégance digeste, salivante, énergique , épurée. Un modele de gamay défiant le temps, alliant caractère et suavité.

Nez bien parfumé, élégant, sur un beau mélange de petits fruits des champs & les épices. Légère note terreuse & un petit qqchose de poussière de roche complète un bouquet où tout semble bien fondu. Bouche souple. élégante, sur un fruité léger, des épices, une bonne impression de poussière de roche du début à la fin. L'acidité est bien présente & appore une belle tension. Tout est en harmonie & fort digeste. Excellent!

Consistent with notes a year ago, only more lavender and violets on the nose and a pronounced rhubarb- strawberry note emerging on the palate. Thick tannins still, so best with food and 2022-2028.
