Saline, mineral, chalk - adequate acid. I am beginning to feel that in some of these warmer years the structural components of the white burgundies are set apart from each other - especially the acid, which somehow is not as integrated as you would like. Almost as if it was added, which you know it was not. Well crafted and utterly worthy wine. Completely enjoyable. But I miss the Chablis of old, when they were leaner, edgier and came at …

Light gold in appearance. Nose showing classic Chablis sea spray and iodine. On the palate, a really nice combination of concentration and typicity. Score reflects it's performance for its class.

Stone fruit for days. Brisk and minerally all over. Nectarine and white flowers for days. Has some weight but not of vintage. In a great place and just starting to develop some nut.

Archetypal Chablis; steely acidity, chalky & lemon notes. Great glass

Absolutely on fire, an amazing wine in its prime window. Tickling, electric acidity, the full 4D-technicolor-ultraHD spectrum of flavors - this has energy, style, and elegance.

Full throttle Chablis. All the chalky mineral and saline notes you could hope for. Medium plus body. Grippy acid. Long citrus inflected finish. Quite special for its level. Has the scale and density of a premier cru. I would wait a few years on this.

Really nice Chablis - has great tension, class lemon / lime and oyster shell flavoring. Nice zippy acidity to finish this. Great stuff!

light gold. lemon, lime, and orange sweet tarts with limestone and seashell funk on the nose. light bodied with fresh acidity. big candied lemon and orange flesh flavors with stern minerality. ends with a bottarga like funk. chablis typicity but with more fruit. solid, prices creeping up.

1st bottle was corked. Lemon yellow. Wet stones and well balanced. Lemony kick at the end of a moderately long finish

Citrus, ripe stone fruits with a slight hint of oak, lurking in the background. Good length here. Solid performance and it isn't your typical straight up Chablis. Good stuff and can't really go wrong with this.

You feel the presence of the warmth of the vintage but this also has intensely classic Chablis flavors with depth and early complexity and simply remarkable length for a wine at village level. Can be drunk now of course but I would keep a few bottles a while yet if you have several.

Popped and poured, no formal notes. At this stage, I find the 2019 "Le Bas de Chapelot" to be absolutely delightful, if not a bit of an outlier. I write that as a compliment because this gives me 1er cru vibes despite the more humble "Chablis" designation. In actuality, the source for this bottling sits just below Montée de Tonnerre and when you consider that all of Eleni and Edouard's wines see a little bit of oak, it makes sense. …

Did I taste oak, medium body, good fruit, balanced, drank easily with calamari and bluefish, a solid white that we enjoyed, structured, no complaints here, would drink again but probably can’t find.

Lemon, citrus, stone fruit and flowers on the nose. Quite forward without the abundant minerality you find in young Chablis. Palate is initially a bit light but it really opens up more weight and density after hours of air. A very tasty Chablis and terrific QPR.

Chablis Tasting. Lemon candy! Simple and fun but a bit thin and one-dimensional.

Floral with ripe apple aromas and the flinty notes that cream Chablis. Ripe again on palate, but with plenty of brightening minerally textures. Very good now with further upside.

Exhibited some warmth but still remained an archetypal Chablis. High acid and salinity, quite stony, but with ripe round citrus fruits. Very well-made but didn't love this.

A: pale lemon N: medium (+) intensity aromas of bruised apple, pear, lemon, peach, touch of cream and toast, something funky - must? P: dry, high acidity - esp around gums - medium body, medium ABV, medium intensity flavors, medium finish C: good wine, balanced of green fruit and acidity, good concentration, the funkiness can either be complexity or off-putting, depends on taste, medium finish. Drink now.

A bit of peach. much more apple, with bright lemon coming through from middle forward. Nicely floral and wonderfully bright. Fine balance already now, great weight and density for Village level Chablis.

Chablis at it's finest. A vibrant and expressive wine with complex aromas of wax, ocean salt and some citrus, all of which carry over to the palate. It has concentration, complexity and a wonderful balance that took me aback considering it's not PC or GC. Drinks wonderfully now, but should be good for another decade+.

Fascinating wine, 12.5%abv but don’t believe it, medium body, lots of complex flavors, nice bouquet, not a typical Chablis to my taste, not much acid, great balance, the complexity of the fruit drives the wine, it drank somewhat easily but by the end of the bottle it ran out of energy, drank with linguine with NJ little neck clam sauce, will drink again.

Light yellow. Fruity and mineral nose with notes of oyster shells, sea spray, iodine and citrus. Mouthfeel is fresh and fruity, medium bodied, with nice minerality, good acidity and notes of lime, gooseberries and wet chalk. Nice Chablis with good character. Young yet still very accessible.

Needed lots of air but was fantastic after a 45 minute decant. Would benefit from another 5-7 in the cellar, but already very complex with great acidity and minerality

Quite tight and sharp at first but opens nicely with 20 mins of air. Good depth of fruit and verve. Give it a year or two to rest and lose a little of that sharpness and then enjoy.
