Ouvert et bu sur 2 jours. Robe jaune citron mûr, limpide Superbe dès le début. Un nez à tomber, très expressif, pommes vertes, poires, une très légère touche de miel, coquillages, embruns, salinité. En bouche, équilibre fruits/acidité, profond, amers en finale, belle longueur. Pas de gros changement le 2ème jour, juste un peu plus harmonieux et long. Goûte mieux que le Clos actuellement.

Clear straw yellow with some intense tones of green. Seems incredibly young. The nose is rather closed and dominated by lemon and chalk, almost a bit austere. After a while in the glass, the wine reveals some notes of bergamott and lime and a whiff of vanilla. Full bodied attack, lots of acidity and dry stuff up front. I wrote these summative words of wisdom (please see below) two years ago. I have now opened a second bottle and nothing has changed. A wonderful and deep balance of acidity and fruit (pear and lemon) impeccable structure with great mouthfeel. It required 24 hours for everything to come together and for the dominant acidity to soften into the fruit. It was well worth the wait. Vide

This is an extremely closed wine at the moment. The color is deep golden but still with a fine green teint. The nose, however, is completly mute. A weak tone of hay and olive oil is all I can detect. A fantastic Chablis! I managed to keep my hands off this since buying it @5 years ago, but caved in last night to accompany Thai takeout. In a sweet spot, this is rather full bodied and shows delicious baked apple, with a bit of acidity. Even a touch sweet.

Big and bold, as always. Mature notes of citrus, peach and vanilla/oak, combined with a flinty touch. Full bodied attack, high acidity to balance the hefty fruit. Very long and almost tannic aftertaste. Perfect to drink now. Impressive for the vintage.

Brilliant straw with green tones. Intense nose dominated by lime, green apples, chalk and a nice touch of something like hay/straw, Fascinating. Full bodied attack, smooth fruit at first dominated by green apples and lime. At the mid palate the wine expands into sweeter tone but still retaining that green apple feel. Great complex nose, of wet stones, and chalk, then after a bit of air, some riper fruits, almost exotic, and a hint of oak still left. Palate is alike, with great acid, fruit balance, fantastic wine, with more fruit on the palate than the nose, pretty long as well, very good wine. Tasted next to 2017 Billaud Simon Montee de Tonnerre 1er Cru. Richer and fuller in comparison. More yellow fruit and weight, good acidity and depth, decent length. A little fat, at least in comparison. Drink or keep. 89-91

Fruits blancs, coquillages, très tendu, superbe tension, fruit pur et frais, long, très bon même si fort jeune. 92-93 White orchard feuit, seashells, nice tension and acidity, great backbone, straight, fresh and pure, great length.

Fresh and stringent, but still quite complex in the expression. Medium to medium+ acidity, but very well integrated. It delivers apple, pear, some citrus fruit, apricot, a mineral tone and a hint of butter. A very good balance and aftertaste. Still young and could clearly benefit from further cellaring. A solid 93 at this point, with the potential for a higher rating in the future.

This is a ripe wine, big volume, good intensity. Yellow fruit, some exotic flavours. This is on the hedonistic side, so not a quintessential Chablis by any means, but it wears the large scale well for me. Hugely enjoyable with that caveat. I would wait another 1-2 years for opening.

Bu au jour 2, pas du tout le même vin que Mario avait bu la veille. Aucune acidité, le vin était mou, beaux fruits, mais exotiques à souhait. J'étais sur sauvignon à l'aveugle.. À boire au jour 1 !

Un nez magnifique sur les fruits jaunes, pêches et un petit côté chèvrefeuille et une touche de coquillage. La bouche est sur le même registre, un côté plus riche et ample que le style Droin habituel, mais non dénuée de colonne et d’acidité qui en font un ensemble harmonieux, frais, pur, équilibré et avec beaucoup de classe et une longueur impressionnante. 93 pts aisément

This is a ripe wine with sappy peach fruits, a suggestion of honeysuckle and some citrus oil. It is full and spicy in the mouth with good volume and intensity. The finish is round and length is good.
