Lindes de Remelluri Rioja San Vicente de la Sonsierra

Medium-dark ruby with purple rim. Dark cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, plum, mint, liquorice, capsicum, dried flowers, cedar and wet stone. Medium-full bodied, medium to medium-high acidity, medium-high tannin, medium to medium-high structure, medium alcohol and long finish. Bold, complex and well-balanced. Wine had power and a basket mix of black and red fruits. This bottle would probably benefit from a few more years in cellar.

€ 15,50. Made in a modern style and one can tell there is good fruit here, but the leather aromas tip over into barnyard and I suspect a bit of a brett issue here (not the first time I’ve encountered it in these wines iirc). Shame, as would otherwise be a quite classy wine and excellent value.
