Strawberries and plums, opens a tad heavy and sweet but settles down and gains balance with air. Drink up.

Maraschino Cherry and liqueur on the nose. Palate is intense and candied with port like notes. Finish is a bit short and hot but overall a very pleasant wine. Opened quite a bit at one hour of oxidation.

Dark cranberry, light to medium bodied with quite good legs. The nose of ripe cherries and plum is candied/baked, leather and spices with a fair amount of heat. Palate, ripe sweet cherries, grapefruit and lingering pepper. Short to medium finish. A bit too sweet, but with good acidity.. thankfully.

Deep red colour with a slight brown edge. Earthiness and sour cherry on nose but subtle. Red berry, plum, cherry and licquorice with a bit of fruit cake over time in taste. Medium length finish. Enjoyable - benefited from having time to breath. Still has a couple of years in it.

Was pretty yummy for the price point. After most of the bad wine from the wine walk, almost anything would have tasted good. Enoyed by the hot tub

Cinnamon, strawberry and plum on the nose with hints of freshly turned dirt. On the palate, pepper, hints of those strawberries, a bit reticent. Had it with Chinese beef and carrot and lamb pancakes. Did a great job of cutting the richness of the meat and accentuating the sweetness of the carrot.

Leather, cherries, smoky coals, little cedar smoke on the nose. Cherries and pepper coming through, smoky coals on the finish, good acidity on the pallet. Blend and balance of old world plus new. I can appreciate the style but didn't hit a note for me. Pepper was a little too heavy. But still a nice wine, great with food. Elegant. Medium body and medium finish

This has a lot of Aussie Shiraz funk that is difficult to get over. Air time seems to free it somewhat from this malady and it starts to resemble what this blend is usually about.

Aromas of sttrawberries, current and iced tea. Ruby garnet in color. Flavors of roasted ripe red berries, tea, and light spice. Balanced and structured with a long finish.

Big, full bodied wine with a meaty, bacon fatty core, which was a little surprising given how grenache-dominated the blend is. Great value.

Very nice, did well for the tasting. Of course, next to our "custom" blends, almost anything would do well!!

Recommended as a red wine my white-drinking wife would like. She thought it was OK (which works for me) and I thought it was solid, though not spectacular. Dark fruit and toasted oak on the nose. More dark berries and some coffee on the palate. A little bity on the front, and an uninspired finish, but a good mouthfeel. Probably would have benefitted from a decant.

Decanted about an hour. I agree with the other tasting notes. Beautiful nose of blueberries/blackberries, touch of spice, and a little toast from the oak. Definitely a little "grapey" component on the finish, which took away from the elegance of this wine. If not for that, this is a 90+ effort. Having said that, I'm not going to rush out and buy more at $16 when there are other french and spanish offerings of similar profile for less money. If …

Pop and pour. Started off like eating juicy black cherries, but developed into a nice, light-med bodied wine with nice balance and a nice spicy, slighlty-peppery finish. Nice buy at $16.

Double decanted for 1 hour prior to tasting. Nose of blueberries and blackberries with a little bit of spice. I got some grapey flavor that was not there in the nose. The grenache takes center stage but you defintely know some of that ZM syrah is there as well. The best part of this wine is the balance. Nothing stands out as out of place, but nothing blows me away either. A really nice GSM blend from Cali for the …

Blackberry, blueberry, good structure and richness. I think a little bottle age has helped this!
