Meh. Almost no nose and no fruit. Plenty of acid. I don't think this gets better from here.

Tasting (Mostly) 2011 and 2012 at Bertrand Machard de Gramont (Curtil-Vergy (above Nuits St. Georges)) : Tasting at domaine. Fresh cherry aromas to start, then becomes more lean and sturdy towards middle and finish. Moderate weight.

Quite classic. Earth and mushroom aromas, Well balanced in the mouth - gained in complexity with exposure to air. Quite round with some caramel notes.

Credit Crunch French Wines (Britannic Wine Club) (WSET) : Similar colour, a little more purple. A little lighter, more fragrant, starting to open up to a more fragrant nose. Not a flattering 06 for drinking now but this might perk up a bit with some age. A touch of caramel starting to come through on the nose. **(1/2) £24.29
