Azienda Agricola Villa Lanata Gavi Toledana Raccolto Tardivo

Clearly a Gavi of high quality and worthy of an 'outstanding' score. Don't think we've had a better one. Classic light straw color, with stone-fruit aromas and a lovely palate of peach, kiwi and a touch of almond. Finishes with brisk, mouthwatering acidity and a touch of mineral. Found this a Total Wine.

Served @ 41 deg. Very tight due to temp. Opened up while warming into minty floral with very soft licorice. Lemon zest into grapefruit on palate. Served with baked spaghetti (better with white sauces). Paired well with apples and manchego cheese as well. Very well done classic Gavi. If you like Gavi's this ones for you. Must serve below 58 deg. to be at its finest.

This is a very good old schools warm weather poolside Italian white.
