Subtle black fruit nose with a tighter palate showing licorice and med/- tannin.

Deep ruby, really quite dense. Red and black fruit on the nose wiouch touch of wet earth. Dense and reasonably tight. Still quite chewy but there's a surly element here too. Not dilute, a touch stalky, overall all here but seems to need a few more years. Not quite sure, maybe I'm not in the mood for it, but on tonight's showing, **1/2

Red fruits and still firm and good tannin. Good bitterness. Ready now and can last a few more years.

Decanted over 30 minutes, this is a great wine. it needed the 30 minutes to reach its potential and was stable through out the meal. Notes of chocolate, we had a nice chicken breath with orange sauce that was a good fit. this wine is good now.

This really shines in the context of this vintage. Creamy red fruit, spicy with notes of earth and vanilla, an attractive dash of stalks. Medium bodied, lovely pure red fruit on the mid-palate, good, spicy m-p length, fresh acidity and creamy red fruit on a good length finish with a few, honest tannins noticeable at the very tail end. Lovely, ripe enough but complex, appetising and fresh. Now - 2011ish?

Medium/deep ruby/garnet. Nose has moderate intensity sweet plum and red cherry fruit, slight earth notes and spice. Palate is medium bodied, with sweet, slightly creamy red-toned fruit, no huge depth but attractively spicy with well integrated, ripe tannins, decent acidity and a pleasant medium length finish. Good, relatively restrained use of oak here and all round a nicely integrated, harmonious package, albeit not significantly profound or complex. Fully mature and probably at its best over the next couple of years.

Ruby red (so far as I could tell in poor light!) Lively fruit on the nose, raspberry jam, floral notes and mint, (in musical terms - less bass, more treble!) The raspberry follows through on the taste, good length, nicely structured but the tannins are subtle - almost gone. This is drinking well now and for another couple of years IMHO but nor sure about longer than that! A very good wine, we enjoyed it with a very ripe brie. …
