Medium gold colour. Pronounced and developing nose with ripe gooseberry, ripe honeydew melon, ripe lemon, cut grass, dried herbs, flint, crushed stone and white flowers. Pronounced taste of ripe gooseberry, ripe lemon, cut grass, dried herbs, flint and crushed stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Pouilly-Fumé Sauvignon Blanc that is surprisingly young being ten years old, and with great complexity and concentration. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well with …

Very muted on open, had to interrogate it with brutal swirling. It finally started talking after 3 hours in the decanter. Wonderful nose of grass, gooseberries, lemon zest and white flowers. A backdrop of stoniness that binds it together. Texture and balance of top notch winemaking. A bit short finish perhaps? Or rather, it tails off pretty fast then lingers gently. Eager to try a younger, more talkative version.

Entirely distinct from any other SB I've had, and very very good. Has a minerality I rarely notice in the varietal, with softer acids that don't overwhelm and allow more appreciation of the whole.

Off winelist in the Loire for 160 - lovely concentrated lemon oil, grass, and chalky mineral aromas and flavors that grew in decanter and glass demonstrating what an extra digit gets you

Just plain beautiful. A wonderfully balanced and complex wine that has some heft and can stand up to some dishes. The golden sheen to it lives up to the appearance and dances down the throat. Will hold the second bottle for a few years, super excited for that!

Medium lemon in the glass. Super subtle nose compared to Silex - tropical fruit, some mild herbs and green apple. Not much on the palate except for green acid and restrained character. Needs at least 3-4 years in the bottle.
