Bodegas Paso Robles Vaca Negra

Delicious. Garnet in the glass, aromatic nose of dark fruits and chocolate, palate is bold and expressive with the first sip offering a burst of chocolate covered berries, leading to concentrated notes of black plums, berries and spice. Finish is long and lingers. Drinking beautiful now at may be at its peak.

No formal notes, had this at a local California bistro. It's a blend of Mourvèdre (43%) Tempranillo (36%) and Grenache (21%). I was surprised by how extracted the wine was. Very rich and powerful at 15% ABV. But when in California drink the Cali style!
