So I bought a cellar; 11/12/2022-12/31/2030 : This was tasty. Cork about 1/3 saturated, but in good shape. First pour was red fruit - between fresh and cooked - with similar profile on the palate. Still some tannins and structure, with a decent finish. Holding on for sure, and I am continually impressed with this winery and the longevity of their wines.

Delicious and full. Smooth Slight grass with a hint of oak from the Semillion and Muscadelle. Definitely would buy again. Perfect with grilled sword fish topped with mango on a bed of spinach.

Drunk several nights ago, no detailed notes. Going for a Bordeaux style, on the fruity rather than mineral side for the style, the 4% Semillon and 6% Muscadelle surprisingly prominent vs the 90% Sauvignon Blanc. Very nice - an unusual blend for California, and one I wish more wineries would try.

Color - Light straw yellow. Nose - Light Citrus, lemon and grapefruit, Honeysuckle, pears. Palate- Light Citrus, lemon and Grapefruit. I prefer more fruit forward wines and find this to be lacking. Maybe blending more of the Muscadelle and Semillon into the wine would give it some character, not my personal preference in style as made.

Solid Meritage blend, moderate complexity, at peak. No detailed notes, just enjoyed it. W/Endeavour, w/Luis.

PnP w/15 glass time. Clear w/very fine and small amount of sediment. Deep purple/red color, no fading/bricking. Nice big nose of blue/black fruit. Surprising power even after 11 years, still plenty of tannins, good fruit, not fading in the least. Long finish of med tannins. Drink now thru 2018. Great value CA claret. Marc's bottle.

This is what 6 years will do for the patient wine drinker. Wonderfully clear garnet coloring as it poured into the decanter. Immediate nose of black fruit with hints of cedar, slight tobacco. Smooth and elegant, tannins balanced nicely with a decent amount of complexity across the palate. Let sit 40+ minutes before pouring the first glass.

Earth. Not overwhelmingly jammy The wine looks Garnet colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Mushroom, and Forest floor.

Still big cabernet fruit. Tannins have mellowed significantly. Enjoyed with a prime filet - excellent wine.

Dry Creek Vineyard always does a great job with The Mariner. No exception here. This was the last of two bottles from 2004, and everyone loved it, even paired aside a separate 2005 bottle.

Paired with our Easter dinner lamb; let decant for a full hour ahead of time. Was truly great, even for a couple of the guests who were not particularly red wine fans. Glad we have one bottle left for another special occasion later on.

PnP. Clear, deep dark purple color. Claret/Mertiage nose. Medium body, soft, well integrated. Maybe a bit over the top. Good wine for the price. Nothing off, drink now.

Took to nice steakhouse. Excellent balance on this wine. Intense flavor held throughout w/o gaps in the profile. Very smooth blend of the bordeaux varietals with the right amount of oak. A bit of a surprise - much better than a more expensive similar blend we had the same night - all 4 of us in agreement.

Drinking very well right now. If you got it drink it. I've had two bottles so far the first was definitely suffering a little. The second had last night was drinking quite well. Drink up!

Very good. Can go a few more eyars. American oak is very noticeable from teh vanilla. A hint of eucalyptus. big body, full mouthfeel; long finish. good all around. lots of fruit. This is worth hanging on to for a couple years... maybe longer if you are curious about age worthiness in Calif cabs that cost less than $50. I'd look for more of this in the future...

A creamy, modern, extracted style with heavy notes of cassis and berry fruit, this has a nice edge of green pepper that keeps it interesting.

WE 93 a bit generous. Open for two hours. A pleasant wine a blend of 5 but mainly Cab and Merlot. Wild berry and some spice and herbs. Rough tannnins. Maybe too early to drink.
