spiced plum dominated with a whopping 15.5% alcohol - then there was the addition of mocha, chocolate, and cafe latte, finishing with a rich strawberry-balsamic note.

A full throttle, robust shiraz. Still full of strong sweet fruit balanced with decent acidity and oak. Could definitely go a few more years, although drinking just fine now. Not for the faint hearted.

Not much has changed since the last time i tried this: grilled flavors dominate. Let it breathe and you have what amounts to a great value if you enjoy this type of wine.

Outstanding Aussie Shiraz! Dark fruit, black pepper spiceness, acid forward with a nice bite. Strong finish with oak overtones. Not for sissies. Pared well with rare grilled-porterhouses.

Needs air. Love the grilled cherry flavors. Solidly consistent with prior tastings.

Note consistent with last note, but the oak is a touch less over the top on the finish meriting an extra point.

Deep, dark ruby color. Blackberry, cassis, vanilla, pepper, sweet cherries, spicy oak, and dried herbs on the nose. Full body with good acidity and ripe, silky tannins. Spicy and peppery on the palate with crushed berries, cherries, vanilla and dried herbs, and a good bit of oak. Good length on the finish with the peppery fruit giving way to a bit too much spicy oak. A very good wine with just a bit too much oak. If the oak integrates …

Cherry-berry fruit and smoke on the nose. Grilled cherries on the palate with a medium finish. This opened up very nicely over a few hours.

Fine Aussie Shiraz w/ great QPR. Not hot despite 15.5% alcohol. Well balanced, subdued.

Nice Shiraz for the price. Dark with red fruit and pepper, but a bit more subdued than some of the over-the-top fruit-bombs.

Drank a while ago and didn't take notes...about the same as previous. Good QPR, but drink it all no more than 1 day after you open it...it goes downhill fast even with pumping and refrigeration.

A beautiful Shiraz with a modest vein of sweetness runing through it. Notes of boysenberry and bay leaves on the palate. A long finish. Very nice.

14.5/20; Dark and full. Really dark. Cherry, tar and pepper on the nose after a little time out of the bottle. Some prune maybe as well. The finish was good and powerful, if not a little harsh. In all a good purchase. It fit nice in all respects with the grilled burgers....would do nicely with wild game, steak. It would clobber anything less.

Popped and poured. Dark purple, opaque center, dark garnet rim. Dark fruits, blueberry, charcoal and some vanilla on the nose, some obvious alcohol. Ripe, rich blue and black fruits, mouth coating and viscous. A bit of raspberry, black cherry, coffee and vanilla on the slightly hot finish. Low acidity and the heat keep this from scoring higher, but not a bad QPR.

Popped and poured. This wine exhibited a dark purple color with aromas of black raspberries, cherries and plums with hints of pepper and oak. On the palate, flavors of raspberries, cherries, plums and smoked meats with hints of herbs and pepper on the finish. Nice QPR. HS90

Frankly, not my style. If you love huge fruit bombs, this is a great QPR. Ripe, juicy dark fruits, heavy oak, very smooth tannins, a little sweet on the finish. To me, it was like a big mouthful of Skittles. Not too much heat on the finish for 15.5% alcohol. Drink now. I won't rate this, as it's not a style for me.

Glycerin and red fruit on the nose. Cherry and raspberry with a hint of white pepper on the finish. Medium finish with great legs.
