Corley Family Cabernet Sauvignon State Lane Vineyard

Very nice wine, perhaps slightly overpriced. One hour in glass before drinking, fragrant nose with fruit, some spice, and oak. Good complexity, perhaps just a bit "heavy", but very enjoyable. Good finish. Drank one small glass the next day that was left over from open bottle, still tasty though it had lost a bit of life.

Visit to the vineyard during PNV week. First experience with this wine, no expectations going in...surprise to the upside! This was darker fruits, more sophisticated than others tasted Black fruits, blueberry pie, cassis, tart rhubarb, pomegranate...sweetness on the mid palate. Very primary, a lot of upside with this wine over the coming years. Adding a few magnums to the cellar to test the thesis...
