Farewell to ART lunch. Fruit Day. Drank in Conterno Sensory. Appearance pale intensity, garnet colours. Long legs. Nose medium intensity, with aromas of VA that blows off, then dark cherries, dark licorice, florals. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (15%!), smooth high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of deep spices, black licorice, sweet plums with slight stewed character, underlying classic sour red cherries. really enjoy his higher tier wines, some of the ones in the funky bottles can be a little too funky.

Beautiful rendition of Barbaresco. Dances like a ballerina sprinkling fresh citrus raspberry flavors. Great nose light body and moderate finish. What keeps this wine from going to the next level is the lack of depth, complexity, and concentration.

As god as the top Barolo’s. I guess this is the best Barbaresco l ever had. Feom the uncrowned king of Barbaresco. Will last 12+ years if you can hold ’em

Beautiful deep color, bright and vinous. The nose is full of scents: lavender, rose, cocoa, ham. In the mouth is rich and long, gives flavours of woods, fresh fruit like strawberry and papaya, then comes up with meaty sensations, like raw ham, salty and spicy, but very fresh, all wrapped up in gorgeous tannis. Smooth like velvet, genuine, seductive. Best quality.

3 hour slo-o at home. Earthy and enticing bouquet. A little tight at the moment, but there appears to be good pedigree here. Palate displays ripe fruit and nice balance. Not much depth at the moment, but I think that will improve with time. Finished with good length. I will revisit in a couple of years.
