Ripe fruit on opening but not much depth. Thinking it is past its prime. After breathing the depth improves but the fruit turns more dried and raisin-y.

Poor quality for a $20 wine Unbalanced, fruit is weak and tastes like starch.

Aside from the tannins being a tad bold on the finish, I was impressed with the bold dark fruit and spice. Very fruit forward for a French wine. Nice acidity and with food, if shows even better. For $21 I think this is a lovely wine.

Impressive. Dusty red fruit through the core with a nice cedar element on the nose. Good grip & finish...surprisingly long. Nicely balanced fruit, floral/cedar, and structure. Has a few more years.

Thin, kind of boring. Some cranberry on the palate, but not really my thing. No noticeable alc. Mild tannins.

dark red, fairly opaque. smell: dark red fruit, leafy, stone. taste: nice sour cherries immediately, cocoa powder, grippy tannins throughout. Based on tannin level, this could probably age for another 5 years. I have $12 Bordeaux AC wines that I like as much as this, so not the best value.

Inky red. Lovely nose of crushed raspberry, flowers, and nutmeg. Medium-bodied, the stiff, drying tannins are still overwhelming the dark cherries, which pokes their little heads out only on the back of the palate. Medium-length, earthy finish. Doesn't seem ready to drink, although it does smell terrific.

Color: Very dark ruby, hazy. Nose: Cherries, very ripe, a little vanilla and cedarbox. Pretty, but understated, pretty classic nose. On the palate: Muted fruit, fairly dark first impression. The midpalate has some complexity and herbaceousness, but a spike of acidity and a disjointed finish transition take this over to 'sour' for awhile. The finish itself returns with grippy tannins and has pretty good length. Better with food.

Had a rather typical bdx nose, bit of green, mint, herbal, cedar notes. A rather austere wine, very dry, leather and tobacco dominate, not much fruit. Rather one dimensional. Goes downhill quickly after opening, can't hold up to decanting and must be consumed entirely same night as opened.

Respi-Aerate to decanter, trickle pour, serve. Color and body per previous. Some stinky barnyard on the nose that dissipated with time, along with cassis, black currant, and earth. Smooth dark fruit on the palate is rather austere and make dry in combination with earth and dark chocolate. Substantial tannins that are still rather firm but lend a nice structure overall. Moderate finish, good complexity. The pairing with cheeses was good, would have been better with a zesty meal. This may …

Taste : veggie and earth flavor. Short finish. This is not really doing anything for me . I was hoping this would be better oh well. An ok bottle not bad not great. At least the Yanks just scored so its tasting better right now. I wonder if there is alot of bottle variation as this bottle is not as good as the one I had about a month ago. Friends are over for the game and the consensus on …

Gave this an 89 last time I had it. This bottle just wasn't good. Backwards, no fruit, no midpalate... exceedingly herbal and green and earthy. Wow, just wasn't expecting it to be this mediocre after liking my other bottle.

The nose had loads of earth and red fruit, along with a little dark chocolate and vanilla. The palate was very smooth, and had bright red fruit, earth, a hint of chocolate, and a solid oak finish.

Good value driven wine(UNDER $20) ... This wine is for very shor-term cellaring... It felt like there was enough structure to evlove but I was completely wrong !! drink this wine within 1-2 years... and Never Decant ... You will lose most of the fun of this bottle. JUST DO NOT DECANT IT !! Dark fruit, Mineral, Chocolate componet, bit of sweet oak action... pretty much has little bit of everything... I would say good value wine... AGAIN ... JUST …

{ST} Decanted approx. 30 min, and it was not enough. Color inky dark garnet with purple highlights, medium full body. Pleasingly generous nose of cassis, black currant, floral note, earth. Forward concentrated dark berries intermixed with earth and minerals. Somewhat tight in the midpalate with firm drying tannins in an extended finish that includes fresh green veggie. The real deal. Its quality suggests an upside with a few years lay-down.

Really enjoyed this wine. Very vibrant red fruit on the nose with a little earthy kick. Medium-bodied, it has a lot of structure, complexity, and length. Started off with the red fruit from the nose and progressed through some herbal and earthy flavors back to the fruit on the 30 second finish.

Weird wine. Upon opening, this was awesome. Beautiful chocolate and vanilla with dark and red fruit, and some oak but not too much. Decanted. Big mistake. This went downhill extremely fast and started tasting like soap and beef fat. If you open this now, pop and pour and don't decant. 90 when first opened, 80 after an hour or two.

pretty smooth, and earthy, but a little out of balance with the lack of up front fruit. Don't think I'll be buying more of this.
