Good aroma, fruit background and a little tannin on the finish to give it a bit of bite. Much better than the bottle I last opened in December; it seems I've also learnt something about what can happen to a single bottle. Probably not much life left; I won't allow the remaining bottles to survive the year.

Not sure what to make of this one. I last opened one in 2011 and found it tannic and closed so I duely packed the remainder away. Eighteen months later, initial impressions were good. The aroma was fresh and fruity, but the finish was very acidic - most reminicent of a poor NZ Sauvignon. It didn't taste flawed in the normal sense, but perhaps there was something wrong. I've got another four, so I'll find out soon enough!

Rubino profondo. Naso di frutti di bosco e tabacco. In bocca apre con una bella sferzata acida, tannini molto fini. Discreto fiinale

Light and fruity with some sour cherries and bitterness at the tail end. A little lacking in structure and overall togetherness, but a decent Wednesday night quaffer.

Nose of sour cherries, soft vanilla, edges of raspberry jam, Now & Later, clay dust. Palate is very smooth and clean with good acidity, but completely lacks depth. Watery middle and late palate, turns green on the finish, picking up some asparagus notes.

Ruby in colour. Nose of dark red cherries, and agree with slave2thevine that there is a hint of barnyard, almost pinot noir-ish. Well-balanced, good tannins. Leather and prunes come to mind on the tongue. Paid around £22 (Moscow prices), excellent value here.

Medium ruby color. Delicate nose of almond oil, ripe red cherry and violets. Pretty on the palate with good acid balance and fine tannins. This is a focused, elegant Rosso; not very complex, but direct and enjoyable.

The nose of this wine comes off smelling like that or an old barn with a dusty floor. Other notes of cacao nibs, coffee, and ripe cherries. In the mouth flavors of leather, dried cranberries, blueberries, and dark chocolate are supported by firm and well intigrated tannins. An absolutely wonderful wine for the $20 price.
