First bottle from this producer. A beautiful Moulin-a-Vent. Quite perfumed, with fine tannins and ripe, blackberry/blueberry notes. Drinking really well. I have a selection of 2020 Beaujolais from this producer (this cuvee, and other Moulin-a-Vent cuvees, and a Fleurie), purchased from The Rare Wine Company. Look forward to drinking those!

From 75cl, perfect cork, decanted 30 minutes off substantial powdery sediment. It's been a while since I last tasted a 2016 MàV from Boillot, but I certainly remember the generally softer, lower acid, more restrained oak profile compared to 2014 or 2018, and enjoyed it in this wine. Nice dark Gamay fruit in a friendly, not too concentrated/loaded package, fully mature now, but—of course—no hurry. 88-89P

Thanksgiving day with jenny and Rudy. They all thought it was a great match / wine. I was confused as I was drinking a riesling which was working great with turkey. At tasting before dinner I had concluded it was very good. This should probably have 2-3 years more lying down. good wine
