Opened for Thanksgiving. Let breathe for 2 hours prior. Ruby to slight orange tone. Gobs of humid cherry on the nose, with oak, a little licorice, clovey mace. Very smooth and elegant, with more red cherries on the medium weight frame. Opening with air, showing a little more funk, deeper charry oak, vanilla, braised plums, hoisin, cola and bruised fermenting strawberries.

I personally prefer this side to Marcassin Estate pinot. When matured well, it feels like DRC Echeazeux. Echeazeux of the poor.. If you buy this wine in the $200 range, it's a great choice.

PnP. Perfect cork. Lovely brilliant ruby. Intense ripe nose of cherry and red apple. Lovely velvety texture on the palate with intense berry, cherry and orchard fruit flavors. Intense but very fruit driven on the finish with any tannins buried. Lovely wine - may not be as complex as the Marcassin estate but very good.

Delicious ripe red cherry and rhubarb with earthy notes on a silky smooth palate, open nose, and moderately long finish.

lovely pinot...made the "mistake" of sharing with my family and telling them that it was better than the over the top alcoholic 2007 CNP and even the Seavey cab. Everybody piled in and loved the wine and then it was gone. Too bad, but really nice. Fun while it lasted.

Decanted for almost 2 hours. Aromas of cherry compote, hint of cola, plum, rhubarb and hint of cinnamon. Flavors of cherry, cranberry, boysenberry, earth, mushroom and hint of nutmeg. Ends with a long finish of 40-45 second with a pure cherry note. The cherry note is thing is unbelievably pure and long. Very young still. This still has some time to go although not sure how anyone can keep there hands off this now.

A bit better than I expected. Large, not crazy over the top..still, a bit too big even if it has mellowed over the years. I wold not hold this long, was best upon opening.

PNP, drank over eight hours. Red fruit, cherry and wild strawberry. Vanilla, baking spice. Cinnamon. Powerful, but still relatively light on its feet. Structured, slightly bitter undercurrent. 14.5% ABV, not hot, but came across a bit unbalanced. Long finish. Complex and interesting, but this time did not show as well as other bottles.

Took to Que Sera. Light purple. Light and airy nose. Cherry, strawberry, black raspberry flavors with subtle vanilla, cinnamon , clove and white truffle. What makes these stand out for me is their reliability , balance, subtlety and the lingering ethereal finish. Lovely with red fish and Asiago grits.

Didn’t love it. Surprised. Kind of tannic and closed. Ok fruit but never gave up much.

Trelio with the fellas again (Clovis Ca.) : Blind. Lighter transparent fruits...strawberry, raspberry, cherry...pretty tight but did air out after a few hours. Some pretty florals and faint spice...earth and mineral funk...all very medium bodied. Expected more. I guessed light style Grenache.

Crisp bright cherry color, lacking depth, yet tasty. Expected a lot more for the hype.

Rich, delicious, forward dark strawberry fruit, excellent structure, short finish, needs time to open up, still very tight

PnP. Medium deep red. Deep nose of dark fruits and violets after considerable swirling. Lovely weight on the palate with a crunchy quality to the fruit and a long fruit-driven finish with tannins buried. Quite lovely at first taste - should open well. This maintains a nice tension and intensity as it softens with air and good acidity on the finish focuses it. This is still young but drinking well.

In a great place. A showy wine highlighting ripe red fragrant fruits with a sweet edgy appeal. Quite pretty for a large scale pinot as slightly faded sour cherry fruits are well integrated with bright acidity and baking spice. Finishes really lasts. Quality stuff.

Rich strawberry, fruit punch, dirt, beets with velvety texture. Really good right out of the gate. Wish I had more than one!

A deep dark maroon center giving way to a lavender purple-pinkish rim. On the nose it intoxicates you with fresh cranberry, green pine needles, mint and a hint cinnamon. On the palate, plenty of earthiness and fruit balancing well and a good dose of acidity. The tannins are somewhat smooth with some grip still. There is some sweetness from the oak that will integrate wonderfully I imagine. This is tasty now and should drink well for another 6-9 years or …
