Nicolas Maillart Champagne Premier Cru Villers-Allerand Montchenot

Candy-like, red fruity fresh with a pronounced sweetness despite no dosage but retained 9 g residual sugar from the warm vintage which doesn't deny itself. It lacks a bit of acidity which makes it somewhat flat and without the nerve which is usually connects to Maillart. Good fleshy fruit. Not a keeper.
