Howell Mountain Spring Wine Tasting, SF, This winery was known as Rutherford Grove Winery, before that the family operated Elher's Estate as Old Bale Mill Winery from 1928 to 1953. Nose of lovely, rich, black cherry fruit, same on the palate, medium/big body, fruity but not fruit forward, very tasty, needs 3 years to peak, small amount of soft tannins, long finish, at $60 a buy.
