Excellent nose on this wine, bold flavors of lemon and green apple, with slight hint of honeysuckle. The first taste of this wine was outstanding, and we paired it with Lemon chicken, jasmine rice, mushrooms, and broccolini. It completely complemented our dinner. The acidity, and tastes of lemon and green apple, brought out the flavors of our dish and as we finished this bottle, we were wishing we had bought more!

Lemoncurd, minerals and another fruit that I can't identify. At its peak. Probably the best time to drink up.

Immediate and abundant gooseberry on the nose. Some lymon, mineral and flint as well on the nose. Neither the nose nor palate reflect much fruit. Nevertheless, the wine packs plenty of enjoyment both as to flavors and mouthfeel. A bit of apricot joins the lymon to add dimension to the fruit while anise joins the flint and mineral on the finish. In between, some herbal notes make a brief appearance. Maybe a bit tight, but I don’t see this wine …

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of light lemon-green colour, with wide watery rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of green fruit of gooseberry and green apple, citrus fruit of lime, herbaceous notes of grassy, floral notes of acacia, sweet spice of fennel, maturity notes of hay. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium alcohol, medium body, with medium (+) flavours of citrus fruit of lime, green fruit …

Pale, brilliant gold, the nose offers notes of lanolin, orange leaf, tarragon, and anise, edged by citrus tones of lime zest and key lime tart, along with grapefruit segments in syrup. A delightful, linear palate shape with a finely etched blade of acidity delivers a precise wine that exhibits the first whisper of development. Oranges and lime intertwine with green mango and Golden Delicious apples of this bone-dry, expressive Barsac. In its prime drinking window. The wine has a long …

Pale to medium lemon color. Medium aromas of peaches, peaches and more peaches, white flowers and honey. High acidity, medium alcohol and body. Pronounced flavors of peaches (!), lemon and honey. Long finish. A beautiful wine.

Unlike prior vintages, oaky, mineral laden clumsy wine lacking balance and grace. Agree with Zinslut note but my bottle is not corked only - for me - made in an unappealing style.

A quick note: I was jazzed for White Bordeaux .. I usually do my research.. TW expert was assisting : told him my focus was Pessac / Graves & a Semillion blend. He Highly Rec this wine .. I never looked. Got home it was from Sauternes and 100% SB …. Oh and CORKED. Next time .. take the advice.. thank him.. go back to your timetested online research. Has been a while .. but 10 min in … where’s …

Pale yellow. An interesting nose - very aromatic, quite smoky and flinty, hints of wet wool but in a good way. An underlying richness balances the acidity really well, and this was a good wine that had us mulling and guessing what we thought we could detect. Good match of tropical and white flesh fruits - I thought apple and peach with pineapple broom blossoms - with a more classic citrus acidity. We drink so much chardonnay that you forget …

I enjoy white bordeaux generally and sauternes especially. It is not so common for me to have a chance to enjoy a wine like this, 100 percent sauvignon Blanc but with oak and some malo. Pineapple and mango notes push through and this is well made.

I was pretty keen to try this, as I rarely drink dry white bordeaux. A bit disappointed to find it was 100% SB though, as it's the bordeaux varietal I least enjoy. Still, this was a very enjoyable wine. Excellent complexity on the palette; quite herbaceous, citrus and grassy on the attack, but a lot more pineapple and mango on the finish. Plenty of acidity to give a good structure and mouthfeel. I just found it a little 1 dimensional …

Pale yellow colour. Nose is intense with notes of gooseberries, black currant leaves and some wood and hints of cat pee. Mouthfeel is rich, aromatic, full bodied, with nice acidity and notes of gooseberries, black currant leaves, oak, lime, kiwi and some hints of elderflowers, with a long finish. Quite special and very intense style of white Bordeaux, quite atypic but very good. 100 % sauvignon blanc here, from Barsac/Sauternes. A great wine!

Marriage of lime and lemon. Obviously that means this is highly acidic. So not my choice for casual sipping but if I had mussels or a fish dish it would be very nice. We had excellent Wiener schnitzel for dinner and this was nice. The noice was a little musty but I didn’t notice it with the taste. I’ve had Sauvignon blanc wines I liked better

Fresh & Elegant - 100% Sauv Blanc - Apricot & Honey with hint of Vanilla. Well balanced - Long graceful finish with touch of Lime & more Honey. The acidity brings together the bold fruits. It was a great paring with Chicken soup.

Citrus and stone fruits. Nice and dry. Still a bit of unintegrated oak but not heavy handed. Best after lots of air. Probably some upside to cellaring for a few more years.

Aromas of pronounced intensity, including lilies, key lime pie, something more pungently green. Dry (much drier than it smells), elevated acidity, medium-bodied, 13.5°. Lime on the palate. New worldish.
