Agree with the community on this one. On a bit of a NZ Pinot Noir tasting binge, so these will be side -by-side tastings. Sour red cherry, mushrooms, moss, strawberry and subtle leather. Good acidity, light+ bodied, soft mouthfeel and young tannins. This was solid, but not overly impressive. Nice bottle but left me wanting more depth.

Deep colour for Pinot noir, attractive slightly shy nose, plum notes not typical of Pinot noir. Deep flavour and fresh.

My Grade: EX-. This needed about 3 hours of air to open up. This is a serious effort, deep, dusky Ruby, aged Burgundian nose with dried cherries, cranberries, cola, vanilla and leather and oak notes. On the palate: mature fruit with cherries, plum notes, well balanced acidity, some minerality and sour berry finish. Drink up!

This wine is rubbish. I only bought it because of the two 95 and one 94 rating it got from Bob Campbell, Sam Kim, and Raymond Chan. Something doesn't smell right. Very suspect reviews trying to sell an inferior product?

I have tasted a lot of pinot noir. I think this wine is rubbish. It tastes as though a lot of merlot has been added to pass off as pinot noir. The bottle I drank is either flawed or fraud. It is not worth $45 I paid for it.

Nice colour with little lees. There was little nose to this wines which was surprising after the 2009 only tasted recently. Overall the wine lacked real depth and character and was average. Any berry nose was harsh with little to note in the taste.

Central Otago Pinot Noir (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street) : Funky, leathery, cheesy, slight red fruit. In the mouth it's juicy and then very spicy and savoury with a touch of menthol ( a bit cherry cough medicine) with drying tannins. Not for me.
