The nose is typical of the estate: evolved Chardonnay notes with a pronounced oak aging that has now blended, saline and toasty notes, cheese rind, a hint of chanterelle mushroom, buttery note. This wine was a little quiet to begin with, but getting the chance to breathe, it opened up to be a delight at a BYO dinner at Dinings in London. The nose was still muted by glass two, but the palette opened up extremely well, packed with flint, florality, minerality and a little bit of oak before peach and green apple emerged in glass three. Bu au resto AVV Comme chez soi de Sherbrooke. Beau nez florale sur les fruits jaunes et les citrons. En bouche, un brin beurré avec une touche d`élevage. À l'ouverture, le vin conserve une légère fraîcheur mais on est surtout sur les fruits du verger plus mûrs. L'aération dans la bouteille agit rapidement et le vin s'efface, développant un peu d'amertume. Bien mais je préfère nettement mes blancs un peu plus fringuants. Peut-être une bouteille moins "top".

A perdu un peu du boisé dont parle Black. Équilibré. A donné de la difficulté à plusieurs dégustateurs. A bien paru au côté du Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Embrazés 2011 de Boillot (hasard total).

Nez et bouche sur le citron. Boisé très ambitieux, on penserait à un Cali-Chardo. Manque de finesse pour le moment, il devra se fondre dans le futur.

Good, but not outstanding, at least to my taste buds. This was highly recommended by a wine-store in Singapore to go with our Thanksgiving dinner. I felt it did a good job paired with the food. It was a bit less lively and much more subdued than I'd initially expected.
