See my previous note. It was as if the bottle was the exact same as the last one I had a few years back. Had this to celebrate my brothers birthday with my sister in law whose birthday is today. They got married in 2012 so I thought I would share a nicely aged Hall single vineyard. Another outstanding Hall.

very well balanced, trading on finesse and not power. Dark fruit and cigar box aromas with very integrated tannins.

This wine was a bit tannic when I first had it years ago but it's in a perfect spot right now. Very "Hall-like" Napa cabernet. Had it with NY Strips and it was great.

Wow! It’s big, it’s bold, it floored me after drinking a lineup featuring Blankiet and Antica Terra PN. I’m not sure if this will get any better, but it really doesn’t need to.

Wow. Tasted amongst several high end Cabernets and red blends in a party I hosted. This was the wine of the evening. Truly magnificent and had a nose of pine and red fruits with a great palate filled with black and red fruits with some spice box and herbs on the finish. Amazing evening of wines!

Very big and ripe balanced out nicely with lots of structure, nice acidity, and long finish. Not holding much back, this wine is a beast.

big powerful wine, as one would expect - the dark fruit complimented with licorice, cedar and earthy notes

This is a very big, bold, and extracted wine. Well made with quality fruit. Paired well with a charcuterie and cheese plate.

Corked. Always disappointing in a $150 bottle. Sigh...

PNP and after the first sip, I started thinking of the song "Born to Be Wild". This wine is Harlely Davidson in a bottle and my advice is... hang on for a hell-of-a ride. From premium fruit and a gifted winemaker, I found found this Cab to be palate coating with deep and rich fruit and perfectly balanced with firm tannins. In a word....Stunning!

Tasted blind. I was told it spent 30 minutes in the decanter. The first few sips were NOT good. I would have rated it high 80s. Too much green, with grainy tannins and too alcoholic. It was DOA....or so I thought. After an hour or so, at a friend's urging, I tried it again. "If I must", I said. To my shock, the wine came out of nowhere. Like the Phoenix from the ashes it rose. Fruit had come forward, …

- Purple color with fast forming legs. It's balanced with a medium body. Silky texture with a medium finish.

Decanted gently as it had thrown a lot of sediment, but the cork was a clean medium red. Decanted back and forth about 4 times. Delicious wine and RP notes describe best. No heat on the nose or tasting, but could feel the 15.5 ABV if you know what I mean. Still has quite a life ahead but enjoyable now with decanting out the sediment.

Wanted to see if the bottle I had a few weeks ago was just an anomaly. ...it wasn’t... I gave this bottle an extra point just because someone else at the table said it was “good.” (The kind of way you say “good” when friends ask you how you are holding up after a divorce)...

The optimist would say this wine is “in a transition phase,” “still integrating,” “of a particular style,” or “a unique representation of the terroir.” The pessimist would say that wonky stewed plums and vodka aren’t the best flavor profile for any wine at any time. ...take a wild guess which lane I’m in...

Deep dark purple in color. The nose is a mix of chocolate and violets. On the palate this is a well structured wine with still strong mountain tannins. A mix of strong mountain fruit, oak and tannins. Tons of structure and a very long finish.

Blackberry and blueberry, forest floor, lead pencil, round tannins, full bodied, and long finish. Very nice now with a few hours decant, but should improve in a year or two.
