Really pleasant - no other way to describe. Third wine of the night - all of which could be described as pleasant. Yes, I liked this wine and yes I would buy it again. I'm not very knowledgeable about Burgundy wines - all I can say is that I do recommend this one. Drink

PnP, then drunk over three evenings. Very interesting nose, fruit, but subdued, and at times a strong and beguiling floral, almost exotic scent. On the palate it has a juicy side, particularly at the beginning, but then a more austere side takes over. I found it unbalanced on day one, but much better integrated on day three. It's not a charmer, but it has its charming side, which don't even try to cover its more angular nature. I liked it.

Drinking beautifully right now. Subtle fruit with earthy aroma and palette. Very balanced with fine tannins. medium complexity and finish. Very enjoyable.

Decanted about 30 minutes before dinner. (Duck Confit). Not as good as I remember from a few years ago. Short, dusty finish. One left, will leave a few more years to see that effect.

Opened about an hour before drinking but not decanted. Dark and brooding. Deep reddish/black fruit with tannins that softened in the glass. Nice body. Currants, forest floor. No rush to drink more.

A pleasant surprise tonight - I was worried this wine might get lost given what we drank along side of it, but it worked well with a venison preparation and was quite tasty, albeit not the most complex wine.

Rose petals, cherry blossom, strawberry, cranberry, nickel, horse hide, moss and underbrush. Pristine ruby colour. Bright acidity and nice finish. No rush to open. Enjoy over next 5-7 years.

I really enjoyed this bottle; had a few Pavelot's now and they are consistently high quality; this has lovely bramble fruits of blackberry and raspberry with lots of forest floor, hints of sauvage, and humus. Wow, there is really magic in the 2012 Burgundy that shows remarkably in this relatively-minor Savigny village-level bottle. Strikingly good and complex, with good promise over the next few years for further improvement. Purity of fruit and great structure in this medium-bodied Beaune Premier Cru.

Bright medium ruby color and while not strikingly aromatic, it is classic Burgundy with barnyard funk, forrest floor, wild red berries and light floral notes.
