A complex, rich, savory, well-aged Chenin Blanc that's a true pleasure to drink. The acidity the other commentators have mentioned has softened with bottle age, leaving a wine that's soft and full in the mouth. The underlying varietal character is unmistakable: ripe apples, wax, and an almost incense-like note lingering in the background. Both thought-provoking and delicious.

Note: I use a rating scale for which 85 represents a very good wine. Good example of a decent Touraine. A little rich, but firm acidity. Did not open up that much for me as it did for others, although it did improve a bit through the bottle. Don't know what more time will do -- not familiar.

excellent Loire white - needs a little time in the glass, but it delivers. Very Chenin, good acidity and excellent with sole cooked in parchment, mushrooms, carrot puree and wild rice.

Really good food wine. High acid with a lean profile on the palate. Liked the style.

Very much in the style of the 2010. Starts quite aggressively sharp with lemony flavours. With some air and a raise in temperature it starts to fill out on the midpalate, giving a textural feel that only good chenin and riesling can muster. A few times I got a grapefruit thing too but it wasn't off-putting (normally a flavour I associate with sauvignon blanc which I hate). Really good with Hake and Asian style veg (cabbage, sweetcorn, onion and garlic …

This is quite lovely indeed, steely and dry, with nice weight and definition: a classic example of its regional style. Extrapolating based on my experience of this quasi-problematic vintage, I found this to be remarkably well-handled, and I'd wager that this would be a spectacular wine in a more generous year. Too bad I missed the 2010. That said, this is definitely one of the better entry-level 2011's I've encountered, which bodes very well for this young estate. Montlouis is …

I had more or less the same impressions as the taster below. This is steely and dry but there's good weight and fruit in the mid-palate, all very classic Loire chenin. There's regular lees stirring here, maybe that's where the mid-palate comes from? It's very good, though, especially for the price (17ish).

From memory: classic chenin aromas with stewed apples. Very fresh and mineral on the palate but still with a medium weight and mid palate fruit which made it very drinkable.
