Not as "petrolly" as previous bottles. Has mellowed a bit. Nice

Delicious, spiced and herbal-anise comes to mind…fresh, but if you crack it open and pour you may be disappointed initially. Decant and let it warm up a bit. Drink 2025-2032

Further to Jan. 20, '24: Consistent notes--about the same, though Day 2 seemed fine. Rich gold, tasty on Days 1 and 2, then faded.

Really basic trocken showing some mild petrol, sweet citrus peel, finishing some pineapple and the barest hint of salt. Better than the 2016 vintage of this but not something I’d want to buy again.

PnP. Interesting comparison to a bottle of 2015 I tasted yesterday. Light gold color, green apple, citrus, lime leaf, low level stone fruit, petrol and stones. Some honeyed quality to the fruit, but a lot less than the 2015 (which you'd expect). The palate on this is a bit better balanced for me and not as overwhelmed by the minerality and stone/flint flavors. Finishes dry with good acidity and a long finish. Solid wine that has good structure to age. …

PnP. Gold color, nose is peach, apricot, honey, some lime leaf, lots of slate, stone, and petrol. On the palate it's similar, with some apple and citrus fruit. Lots of mineral notes in the finish. Medium body, medium+ acidity. This is a trocken but there's just a hint of sweetness, but it finishes dry with a lot of minerality and some tartness from acidity. The heavy mineral and stone notes border on being a bit astringent. Seems fully mature but …

My first wine from Nahe, bought by my mum for me last Christmas. Colour is mid-yellow. Nose is overwhelming new tennis ball/band-aid, an aroma I like in Riesling but which is so strong here as to be distracting. Beyond that you may find tart green apple and limeade. Palate is equally stern, not showing a lot of fruit, with acidity so high I confused it for a little bit of spritz? Very direct, almost no weight to it. Finishes like …

Mroe direct and mineral on the nose here. More red fruited if you, a little touch of berry red fruit to it.

A German wine, from the Nahe....with an Alsace body weight. On nose: lime, petrol , white flowers and faint bruised apple notes. On palate: clean, but not sharp acidity, and all above flavour notes....as well as warm stone, a ghost of parsnip, and sea salt....a lean, somewhat complex palate....the wine clocks in at 13.0% alcohol, bright, ring gold in glass, a fine dinner wine with Salmon ....8 years old , and in a good place.

Too much of the petrol, flint, minerals for me to give it a great score as they are not balanced out by the fruit and acidity that I’m looking for. Well made. Good value at under $20.

Further to my Note of Nov. 8, '19: Consistent notes for this as a delicious everyday dry Riesling that held well for 24h under vacuvin. Glad to have more, no need to hurry.

Good. Fleshier fruit, lots of lime, compared with other vintages, some white floral notes too, underlying subtle spices which is typical, touch of savoury on the finish, very moreish. Very nice now but will be better after a few years.

Bought 6b for 12/b from WL early last year; this is #1. Light gold; petrol, white flowers, hint of honey; rich fruit, some "dry honey", hint of savory; good persistence. Delicious: glad I have more. Stored vertically (screwcap) in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: For me, scores on a "100-point scale" are misleading. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. This is notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.

Aromas of petrol, mineral and slate. Flavors of apple, mineral and star fruit. Ends with a mineral driven finish of 15 seconds. Nice Riesling that should age nicely.

The one trick pony trick is more subdued now. This is coming together really nicely. Fruit that emanates from under the petroleum shower is a little childish - like candied pineapple. Aftertaste is medium. Like this wine.

Ultra dry bicycle shop. Almost a one trick pony wine. Interesting, sure, but think it needs company. Don´t know what though. Seafood? Perhaps I will buy another bottle - for the occasion when you need to demonstrate bicycle shop.

Aromas of smoke, grape, hint of petrol. Flavors of stone, mineral, star fruit and smoke. Ends with a short finish of 15 seconds. This is super dry but refreshing. Nothing too complex though but it does have some aging potential.

Still at a very youthful stage. Should wait at least 2-3 years before opening the next bottle. Opened a bit after 2 hours in glass and showed some hints of its potential.

Very notable petillance both in the glass and on the palate. Waxy lime on the nose with a good dose of toasty oak character. Despite the bracing acidity, this still feels quite soft, some tropical notes (lychee). The finish is also quite thin and watery. Sadly, this lacks the concentration and intensity that would make it truly exciting. **1/2

A bit disappointed. Perfumed nose with a bit of wool, soap bar and burned rubber. Better on the palate with an almost saline acidity and decent intensity.
