Odd bitterness, off flavor. Possibly bad bottle.

PEARS AND VANILLA IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR. NICE ACIDITY AND COMPLEXITY. MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH.

Is this wine sponsored by the dairy and lumber association - it had to be the most buttery oaky chardonnay I have ever tasted - a Kendal Jackson on steriods? I mean there was not much else except a little smokiness similar to what I have tasted upon first opening an aubert chard. I will say that the alcohol was not overpowering. If butter and oak are your thing, this wine would rate 95pts as there is nothing "off" on …

I'm a big fan of Martinelli Chards, although this one was a bit oakier than I'd like. Hints of vanilla and butterscotch, if that's your thing. Liked it, but other Martinelli's have been more impressive. Can't make sense of the Tanzer review at all; is he talking about a wine or a gymnast?

Rich aromatic chard. Spiced apples, wood smoke, and a creamy finish. Got quite a bit better with some air. Nice long finish. A bit clumsy at this stage, but a nice wine.

Big, spicy nose. Nice palate weight. Lemons, citrus, smoke and spice. Nice finish. A very nice Chard that is well oaked but not overbearing. Very nice, but like most CA Chards, can be lumbering in large amounts.
