Buena estructura, aroma a frutas, notas a especias y frutos rojos. Balanceado. Excelente.

Medium ruby in the glass. Full-bodied, off-dry, soft-to-medium tannins, soft acidity. Primary black fruit aroma of blackberry, red fruit aroma of strawberry. Both presenting as more cooked fruit, as opposed to preserved/jammy fruit. Spice aroma of white pepper. Secondary earth aroma of potting soil. Tertiary general aging aroma of leather, oak aging aroma of cigar box. The finish is smokey, with a medium length.

This was a good average Zin. Simple, low body, short short finish.

Extremely soft, sweet mulled orange aromas, classic Zinfandel notes of dark ripe plum, nutmeg, cloves. Finish dry with pleasant nutty tannic finish. Smooth pleasant drinking wine

This vintage is now post-prime. The nose was quite muted, the mid-palate was flat, and the finish was nonexistent. Glad it was my last bottle of this vintage.

Past its prime, pretty dull.

Same as notes from earlier this year......very good, but going over the hill. Mature and time to drink up. One bottle left.

I have enjoyed every bottle of this wine I have had. However, it is time to drink it up over the next year. As one other reviewer has noted, part of what makes this particular wine interesting is it is made by a winery that is not usually associated with zinfandels. Still fruit forward with a long finish. A little more elegant than many zins.....which probably reflects the winery.

This is entirely my fault. Waited way too long and this wine is no longer what it surely was at one point.

We pulled out the last 2003 and last 2004 to enjoy over the last few weeks. They were still very good but there is no need to hold them longer - and we've got plenty of 2005!

Raisins, dark plum, smoke and dark chocolate nose. Bright cherry palate with tannic acid finish. Drinking nicely now.

Not the typical fruity Cali Zin but very smooth and silky. Aroma is not as strong as expected but very enjoyable to the nose. Is closer to a cab in structure but very enjoyable.

Definitely old school in style for a Zin. Not at all a jammy, pepper bomb. Smooth and easy. That being said, this wine is going nowhere. It seems to be in decline since the last time I had a bottle. I highly suggest you drink up.

love this one time and time again. it is made in such a nice way. more "old world" for a zin. very structured. had the zinberry flavors, but they were darker and did not spring into the mouth. went very well with steak. when i first tasted i had to make sure it was not the cab.

Wow! A really outstanding zin from a winery not know for their zins.
