State Bird Provisions (San Francisco) : A very interesting Pinot to be sure. Russell Bevan's "I'm not afraid of fruit" style coming forward unabashedly on the attack, but married really nicely with some of the wine's earthy qualities as well. Wine is dark garnet color, flavor profile is dark cherry with cranberry syrup. This is a big pinot with a beautiful mouth feel if you give it a few minutes to open up. Huge fruit, firm tannins, this is not a ballet dancer, more like a heavy weight boxer! Enjoy!

This certainly didn't age in the right direction. Was fairly dull this time, fruit wasn't showing itself as much as it should. Still decent, but that's about all.

Very solid cab franc, has a lot going for it. But still definitely needs more bottle age time.

Dark brick, opaque color with translucent edges. Big nose of dried mushroom, forest floor and some smoke. Sweet and dark cherry on the palate, which has a slight chalky mouthfeel. Some alcohol on the medium-length finish. Concentrated, and tannins could still use some time.
