Honey and tropical fruit on the nose, with lemon and grapefruit rind, pineapple, gooseberry, and a mineral tinge in the palate.

Brilliant light straw color. Grapefruit, honeysuckle, lemon with a hint of vanilla in the nose. Lush rich mouth feel and the flavors match the nose. Excellent wine.

Aromas and flavors of lime/lemon, cut green grass, wet stone. Medium weight and round on the palate with tart, clean sensation. Semillion clearly shows throughout.

Nose of apricots, flat white peaches, elderflower, whip cream, gooseberry, shaved almonds, carambar and dusty sucre vanillé. Cantaloupe and chamomile 1h in. Palate is nicely textured and length is decent. Minerality comes through true and defined. If tested blind, would have guessed meursault or hidden bench felseck chard. Unlike any sauv. blanc I’ve ever had. For ref. 68/32 sauv to sémillon. Paired nicely with a loaded brioche bun croque monsieur. What an experience discovering white Bordeaux of this profile and …

Mittleres Gelb. Langer, frischer Abgang. Ab sofort bis 2030. (Januar 2024)

So....bottle # 2 of this property , after a year- and- half, since last reviewed . On nose and palate: very similar notes, encompassing toasted bread, citrus rind, oak resin , green pear, grapefruit....on a full flavoured, balanced medium body...the only difference in its evolution, is a noticable trace of saltiness and minerality in the finish, along with quinine notes.....will age effortlessly for another decade. Was well recieved by garlic chicken, haricots vert and basmati rice, this evening.

(88-90 vvPunkte) Mittleres Gelb.

Lemon rind, yellow tropical fruits, mango, tangerine, and honeysuckle get your attention on the nose, while the fresh, bright, lemons, green apples and touches of orange seal the deal on the, bright, crisp palate. Drink from 2023-2030. 92-92

On nose: expressive notes of toasted bread, citrus oil and a ghost of oak resin. On palate: all of the above, amplified , on a dense, medium body , balanced by clean acidity , notes of pleasantly bitter quinine ( similar to Carbonnieux blanc) and , as it warms up , after a 1 hour decant, white floral notes, grapefruit rind and green pear enter the complex mix....the minerality in this wine is muted. There is nothing " generic" about Pessac …

Med. gold. Unsure of exact blend, but based on past vintages prob around 65/35 Sauv Blanc/Semillon. Whiff of oak on the nose, with some citrus fruit. Palate displays almost sweet tropical fruit with floral and complex mineral notes. Luscious full body, tangy acidity extending into the long finish. Pro reviews are interestingly all over the map on this---from 86 (Vinous) to 93 (Spectator), and an enthusiastic, and rare, Coup de Coeur from the French Hachette guide. I lean toward the …

The wine is loaded with ripe, fresh, bright lemons, grapefruit and a hint of orange blossom. Fresh, lively and crisp, you'll find hints of green apple in the finish.

Ripe and rich like the previous bottle. For me at its peak now. Nice honey and walnuts are coming out that play with the citrus backbone of this fine Pessac. To be drunk now.

This is truly singing right now. Nose of sweet green apple, pear, lychee, tropical fruit(pineapple principally) and hints of vanilla and matchstick. The palate is lush, with crisp acidity with notes of lemon and some tropilal flavours. Long refined finish. 65 % Sauv Blanc. 35 Semillion. Pop and pour. Paired beautifully with scampi.

Wine Pages Belfast Offline (Deanes Restaurant, Belfast, Northern Ireland) : Totally disjointed. The nose was very over powering and extremely difficult to ignore. Way too much oak?

Excellent white graves. Initial nose of lychee, grapefruit and matchsticks(sulfer) and straw but as the wine aerated in my glass over an hour, more scents of melon and pear came out. Nice mouthfeel to the wine, lots of flavours with tangy acidity but not overly so. Can age a couple more years but with some aeration, it is good to drink now. Long long finish.

Montreal Wine Guy Weekend a la Quebecoise; 3/27/2009-3/28/2009 (Wentworth North-Vinaigre's brother's cottage) : Solid white with a seductive nose of pears, green apples, vanilla, lanolin, honey and buttery scents and melon with some straw in the mix. Palate is lush seemingly voluptuous caressing your taste buds, deceptively sweet as there is a good dose of acidity with apples flavours coming through and ending on a long long apple-pear finish. Tasting far better from bottle than from cask, this is a lovely white Graves with grapefruit and mineral aromas and flavors and an elegant medium body. Also a relative bargain.

A pleasant white. It didn't deliver as much punch as I thought it would, but it may have been a bit too cold at the outset. It really developed over an hour or so. Lots of mineral, pineapple, maybe a hint of apple. We drank it with freshly grilled shrimp, and no one complained about the pairing.
