29 & Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Oakville

We opened this as the second wine of the weekend from a purveyor of "mystery case" wines. Compared to the Block 787, it's a step up even if somewhat similar. There's a lasting persistence to the finish, when combined with the solid raspberry fruit and chocolate tannins, makes this a more satisfying drink. Without the finish, it's an 89. The back echos and deeper fruit warrant the solid score. Would buy again.
