Lime oil, rich, a touch of grassiness, some minerality too. Just a hint of passion fruit macaron. Yummy. Palate is long and moreish. Great acids, more citrus goodness, nice and dry.

BWC 2013 and 2018 Burgundy Pairs Dinner (Petts Wood) : A touch of reduction on pouring, some lime oil and just had touch of mandarin segment with air. Palate has lovely zip and concentration. Lovely comparison with the 2018 this is served with, no substantial differences bar the extra age which, I think, just sways me. Happy to have both of these in the cellar.

Nick A's 2013 Burgundy Horizontal (Table A) (Noizé, London) : From Appellation Nation in Cheltenham. Punching above its weight, this is just a cracking white Burg. Some cashew and lime juice on the nose with just some hints of salted popcorn and just a hint of macaroon from the oak. Palate is fresh, well balanced and more-ish. A cuvee to watch which under DIAM is not showing signs of aging since last sampled.

Sunday night with home-made Devon Wagyu burgers : Day 3 - half a bottle left in the fridge with the cork reinserted. Weirdly a bit reductive - a hint of struck match and a bit leaner, less generous than before. Really nice - definitely decanting before serving next time.

Pale gold. Some candied lemon, a hint of richness, but still decent acidity and somewhat linear.

Yum. Some candied lemon, generous feel in the mouth with lovely balancing acidity. So pleased to have a few more of these left.

Composite cork. Colour - mid yellow, colour suggests there may be some pox (or just ox at this stage). Nose tells a different story, some flintiness, a hint of cut grass, candied lemon. On the palate - good acidity, somewhat precise, with some lemon curd as well as some generosity. The wine I've drunk most recently that this reminded me of was the 14 Kumeu Maté's. This is punching well above its weight just now, thoroughly lovely stuff. Drinking great …

This is in a really good place. Nose has a steely minerality to it with some lime blossom. With time there is some rose petal and some sherbet pip. The oak influence here is masterfully handled, creamy but not in any way overdone. Palate is rich and long and this unmistakably white Burgundy. There is more lime zest and mountain stream minerality. A joy now but think will bring pleasure for the next few years if this bottle is anything …

Green apple and citrus up front backed by a creamy middle and wonderful finish. Harmonious, delightful, and drinking now.

Leckerer Chardonnay, der über die vergangenen 1,5 Jahre gewonnen hat. Am Anfang war er etwas trocken, mittlerweile hat er eine eher fruchtig, frische Note. PLV sehr gut.

Decent Chardonnay nose but with vanillic, oaky notes. Good buttery, honeyed, mainly citrus fruit. The usual oak backbone was there but subtle. Quite long. Nice wine, good with pan fried scallops. Next day, more butter and toffee and the oak was a liitle more forward. I have tasted many vintages of this wine and, whilst it is a good modestly-priced alternative to a good deal of too-ordinary Burgundy, the oak is always there for me so it is always better …

13.0% - No formal notes, drank over 3 days. Ripe fruit with sweet peachy notes, floral, good mouthfeel even though pretty much unidimensional.
