Domaine Ledogar La Mariole

Nose is very fruity with black pepper and a hint of VA. Palate is blackberries and spice and distant hardwood smoke with medium tannins on the gums and lots of acidity but a fairly short finish. Not bad but not exactly life changing either. This is the quintessential glass of red from a hip natural wine bar, though that probably says more about how I feel about the typical natural wine bar than how I feel about this wine....

Je ne suis pas loin de penser que les frères Ledogar représentent l'élite des vignerons du Sud, toutes choses égales par ailleurs. Cette Mariole en donne un éclatant témoignage. Nez pas très appétant sur la réduction, certes, mais la bouche est rayonnante, une bombe de fruits rouges avec une dimension gourmande (un brin de SR?) qui sait s'arrêter avant la finale, très pure.
