Nice floral aromas. Hint of eucalyptus. Soft, round tannins still showing some grip. Dark fruit flavors with some cocoa. Fruit is fading. Recommend to drink now.

Velvet and berries, hard to get better than this very elegant Cabernet. Definitely time to consume if you still want its best. Happy Memorial Day

Dark ruby red with sediment. Classic HM profile, floral, complex and still a bit tannic on day one. The wine was in balance on the palate on day two, but seems like it is starting to lose the robustness of the fruit that one would expect from a HM cab. A very good wine overall. 91-92 pts.

An exceptional HM Cab, and the last of my wines from Stacy Clark/PR. Allowed to slow-ox for 2 hours, this was perfectly in the zone tonight, with the color rather youthful still, though the aromas are quite firmly in the secondary camp. Wonderfully balanced, and deeply flavored, this has everything I'm looking for when I drink Cab (rare these days), tannins that frame, acids that lift, and fruits that are just ripe. Very classy, and a nice way to say …

Dark, delicious Cabernet, first acquired at the winery in 2008! It's held this long, and my only regret is not having more to enjoy.

Briary, cocoa, and fruit. Still evolving its tannins although elegant in the finish. This needs more time.

Had with Dad after dropping Ian off at camp - a Champney tradition: Great wine in a cheap hotel! Gotta figure out how to bring stems with a bowl big enough to do the wine justice, the small-ish stems in my portable wine kit are a bit on the small side…makes for lots of small pours! Popped to slow-ox for several hours; would have benefited from decantation. Cork stained dark red/black a mm with just a dusting of crystals. A …

Opened and poured immediately. Rich crimson color in the glass. Great nose - alluring red fruits and warm spices, both of which are echoed on the palate, along with a ripple of vanilla. The tannins are mature and provide a great balance to the ripe fruit. Vibrant and long on the finish. This will probably hold well for another several years, but why wait?

Really good, wouldn't wait too long on them if you have them, the fruit is there but not too much longer

Drinking beautifully. Deep garnet color. Nose of dark red fruit, eucalyptus, black licorice and spice. Mature tannins balance medium acidity. Dark berry palate with hint of vanilla and earth. Great balance. Med + finish. Really like this wine! Still has life remaining with plenty of structure.

Carried a 1.50 to Capital Grille in Buckhead with another couple to celebrate the Holiday Season. Opened up the Mag and poured into two decanters. Waited about 25 minutes before the server poured out the beautiful Howell Mountain magic from Pine Ridge. The nose started the evening with great class, tight but powerful. The memorable evening was created with Wedges, Fried Lobster, NY Strip, Filet Mignon, Corn with Bacon, Green Beans and Fries followed by Cheesecake and a Chocolate Mousse …

Nose was excellent. Deep dark berry, chocolate, a little tobacco. The palate, however, was extremely disappointing. Very acidic, not a lot of fruit, almost tart. Opened, tasted, decanted for 5 hours. The nose didn't change much, but the palate became more tart the more air it received.

AWESOME! I really love Cabernet Franc and ordered this from thewinespies.com when they offered it because of the Mt. Veeder fruit. Got my half case today and couln't wait to try the first one. Opened and let sit for about an hour. Beautiful fruit, but not a fruit bomb. Very soft tannins and easy to drink. Red Berry very prevalent on the palate. Thoroughly enjoying as I write. Hidden gem from a winery I knew nothing about, nor heard of. …

Tasted blind. This wine was ruby red and clear in color. Black currant and olive aromas with blackberry and spice flavors, with just a hint of heat on this medium bodied, but very nice wine

Prefer the St Michelle Canoe Ridge vineyard cab more than this one. Fairly indistinct berry flavors. Some alcohol on the nose to start.
