Infinitely quaffable. Good to great on almost everything for a WA syrah. It’s doesn’t have any Rocks District funk, like the Psychedelic or Spyders f/ Mars. Great nose, fruit, acid, balance, depth and finish. I might be under-pointing it. Portions of three bottles, so it proved consistent.

Visit to Sleight of Hand in Walla Walla (Walla Walla Sleight of Hand Tasting Room) : Spicy blackberries. Nice balancing tannins. A bit of licorice

I tried this at the winery in 2019 and it is still showing great. Powerful classic syrah notes of purple hue, bold dark berry fruit, pepper and spice and a H long finish. Harkens to an effort from the rhone. Super QPR.

Raspberry, marionberry, some cassis, hint of leather, some tannins that fade. Definitely has some depth.

Nose is bacon fat and basil. Palate has a bit of candy/cranberry. Lacks a bit of concentration.

Nicely sweet with a mineral streak, making for a complex, tasty mouthful…finishing long. The absence of oak is notable, especially in the smooth finish.

A beautiful wine, ready to drink. A beautiful expression of Syrah. Just lovely.

Purple in color. 14.7% ABV. Savory nose of black fruits, bacon fat and olive brine. Full bodied with strong acidity. Dark and brooding. Black cherry, blackberry, charred meats and minerals on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish with firm tannins. The best Levitation to date. Really delicious Syrah that will benefit with time in the cellar. Best over the next 5-7 years.

Visit to Sleight of Hand in Walla Walla (Walla Walla Sleight of Hand Tasting Room) : Medium purple color. Peppers and herbs on the nose. Dark red fruits and spice on the palate. Good grip. Excellent balance. Good persistence on the finish.

This is a delicious, well balanced wine, that packs quite a wallop in this young stage! The attack is sharp with tart fruit. After lingering on for some time, the midpalate introduces darker fruit, with a thick, bacon fat mouthfeel. The tannins slowly build and direct you to a long finish with notes of pepper, soot, and dark roast coffee. This definitely has the stuffing to age 5 years or more, if you can wait that long.
