Tasted this the first time 12/2008 and liked it--it was simple but incredibly focused, blanced with tight bubbles. So I bought a bottle. Just opened and tasted in 4/2009 and didn't like it as much as the first time I had it--the nose hadn't changed but it developed new metallic/toasted marmallow elements, which for me made it unpleasant and awkward. Could have been slightly corked, I don't know. Ratings: 1st bottle: 90 2nd bottle: 80

Consumed this bottle but it was still a baby. Taut, minerally and still quite chalky and mouth-drying. This is still a well-made CA sparkler but I would recommend a little more time to bring the fruit forward. This should appeal to those who love "classic" steely champagnes.
