A dark cherry coloring when poured accompanied by cherry notes, a hint of raspberry with a smooth finish. No funk in this bottle, but a bright, clean, delicious wine. Have a few bottles left and will drink soon.

Delicious. Decant 2 hours (hard-edged, full body, loves a side of cheddar).

A nice dark red coloring with no bricking on the rim. The nose radiated cherries. After the nose, the flavors included a little of the Burgundian funk, some vanilla and a hint of sandalwood. Fully mature, very smooth and easy drinking.

Friday Night Non-Blind Tasting $40+ (Bin 75) : Dark crimson core with reddish orange rim; sour cherry, sandalwood, some funk, larger scaled, rose, very red fruit, almost Nebbiolo like on the nose; very tannic, sandy, Barolo like hard and tannic; not sure this wine will ever be described as elegant as it will be hard for the fruit to outlast the tannin.

Great Burgundy for the price. I should have waited another 3-4 years. Still quite tannic for my taste.

Nice wine with sweet red fruit. Medium length and good structure. Quite elegant and flirty.

Good basic Beaune. Reminds me of Domaine de Croix.

Sharp, angular flavors with bitter black cherry and a firm, dry cedary bite. Very long and nuanced finish developed over 2-3 minutes with crushed flowers, cloves and lingering sweet tobacco. Despite the flavor, the finish was quite nice. Wine seems unbalanced now but may smooth out with some time.

Dark cherry, forest floor, hint of vanilla on the nose. Cherry followed by strawberry. Cedar, celery, very tart cherry on the finish.

Still a bit closed, even after decanting 1 hr. Dark fruit, cedar, soft tannins, long finish.
