Beringer Vineyards Pinot Noir Stanly Ranch

Red fruit, cola, licorice, a touch of spice and some earth. Limited in complexity, but enjoyable.

Still showing a bit of spunk to this one. Nose of damp earth with crushed raspberries that are slightly moldy. Not to much in the way of tannins. Good mature pinot

Interesting older vintage PN. Held a brick red with orange highlight colour. The nose was "old" with underripe raspberries, green pepper, and dried herbs. Rhubarb, warm spiced raspberries, and some surprisingly tight tannins make up the palate with bracing acidity on finish. I'm sure this was a monster in its youth, but is drinking nicely in that Burgundian style right now!

Ruby color. Bright fruit. Hints of black pepper. Light tannins. This is a mature wine, but still has nice fruit. A pretty good bottle of pinot noir.
