From magnum that friends took to dinner. Took a few minutes to open up. Pleasant red berried tart fruit nose. Very smooth mouth feel with well integrated tannins (what few remain). Nice tart berry, strawberry, cranberry. some slight hints of earth. tough to get lots of nuance while out to eat but it was a very enjoyable Brickhouse pinot.

Good structure, complexity and backbone. Still in its prime, with notes of blackberry, tobacco with a long finish.

I'm not as enthusiastic as other recent notes on this wine. Translucent red, darker at the center. Faint, pleasant strawberry aromas. Crisp and precise on the palate, strawberry, pepper, cherry. Bit earthy on the mid-palate. Smooth tannins, overly bright acidity, good balance. Finishes long and a bit hot (although the alcohol isn't that high). Nice, not exceptional. I'd drink over the next 2 years.

Pale+ brick with orangish rim. Ripe red fruit - cherry and cranberry with notes of lavender, baking spice, hint of vanilla, cedar, potting soil, and fresh Herbs de Provence. Med alcohol, med tannin, and high acidity. Well balanced, moderately complex, feels like the wine version of glamping - elegant with a rustic edge.

A little early to drink. Good acid, structure, with a firm backbone and a long finish. Notes of blackberry, raspberry, spice and tobacco. Not much terroir on the palate, but an earth note on the nose.

4th Saturday Group brown bagger (Our house) : Double blind. Initial note of cherry candy followed by a subtle chemically note that blows off. Slightly astringent through the finish, cherry fruit and good underlying acidity. Really strengthens as it sits- develops a deep sweet cherry note- like a Luden's cough drop- and the fruit fills in on the finish. Lovely and pure- really bright. Thought the fruit is sweet, it works well here and isn't cloying and I really like …

Drank for Dad's birthday during Manzanita family weekend, September 2016. Blind tasting of 2012, 2013 and 2014 Les Dijonnaise. Everyone thought the 2014 was the 2012. 2014 was the winner for all except Kyle, who liked the 2013. Amazing night. This is why we collect wine.

Pop n poured. Followed over a few hours Muted nose. Vibrant purple color with 2mm meniscus. Nice acidity. Crisp, shallow flavors. Not much depth. Finish is short. A decent food wine. Nothing too cerebral here. But a gamay isn't supposed to be. At 14+%, its not going to permit it either.

Popped and poured, consumed over 4 hours. Nose: Medium expressiveness, cranberry, cherry, underbrush, pine sap, and baking spice - really interesting. Palate: Medium bodied, cranberry and spice attack, great balance, spice and earth tones join in to drive a mid-palate lift, flavors build in intensity through the back-end. Finish: Lengthy sense of tart dark red fruit and baking spice. A great example of the potential presented by the 2012 vintage in Willamette.

Straight out of the bottle, it was excellent. It did not taste quite as good with the food- chicken.

A pleasant surprise. Ample, well balanced fruit. Nice underpinning of acidity providing energy and verve. Quite enjoyable as a food wine. The elements all seem to be in the right place. Solid.

Restaurant purchase. Light bodied and red-fruited with hints of darker, brambly/earthy elements in the background. Smooth and silky in texture, but with a good acidic cut keeping it fresh.

Being "Flighty" at the Wine Bar (Sunfish Cellars, St. Paul, MN) : Medium red color. Drank a 2oz pour over an hour. The nose has some nice red raspberry, cedar, and briar; it adds in a forest floor after about 30 minutes in glass. The palate is lighter-medium bodied, distinctive cherries, but less fruit overall, briar, with some nicely framed wood on the mid palate and the medium plus finish. Overall a very solid effort that should improve over the …

Willamette with a touch of Wedding Planning (or vice versa); 7/2/2014-7/4/2014 (Willamette Valley) : Brightier and fruiter than the '11. Very sour red fruits, earthy, not a lot of changing flavors in the glass - comes across as a bit one dimensional. With more time in the glass it feels like it's loosening up a bit, but not quite there.

One of the epitomes of thanksgiving turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing pairings. If you live in Oregon, have access to the Internet, or eat on Thanksgiving day, go get some of this wine. We served at room temp, Might have even been better with a slight chill on it.

Hazy, medium dark color, clearing rim that is bricking. On the nose somewhat muted, very tertiary aromas of teas, cola... some cherry fruit in there that is just a bit muddled, lots of wet earth... on the palate quite nice overall with firm and smooth acidity, a classic fleshy Pinot midpalate, a very smooth transition into a completely integrated, moderate tannin finish of moderate length... low to moderate alcohol. A very well balanced wine with good length and intensity, very …

very similar to last bottle except I would say evolution happened in first couple of hours opposed to a day...initially less interesting but pretty quickly gained size and complexity...pretty darn good mouthfeel and earthy secondary flavors.

half the bottle poured into decanter 45 min before starting to consume. on opening great nose of earth and fruit...iniitial taste was pretty consistent. when consumed with the meal appeared to give way and became thin much lighter than on initial inspection. hopefully it is better on day 2

Enormous Pinot fruit with some complementary new oak spice. Mostly raspberry and other more pale red fruit, this is a wine to really enjoy young. smooth vibrant young textures that don't rely on more bright acidity. Great flavors. Easy to enjoy today, but drink by 2004 or 2005, this isn't a cellar hold.
