Stunning wine. Less glycerol body than previously when young. Fruit and acidity in perfect balance. Stone fruits. Perfect despite slightly protruding cork with mold. 34 yeas old! Lots of life ahead but my last bottle alas.

Light golden. Ethereal honeyed quince aromas. Sweet, pure fruit and spice in perfect balance with the terrific acidity which has carried it forward for 34 years. Just a great dessert wine and a perfect finish to an evening of monumental wines. Still miles to go for any remaining bottles.

From a small capped bottle (wine divided for zoom tasting). Nose of marmalade and a little wool. Just a bit. Spicy with a bit of molasses. Some thickness a bit of butter, the palate has citrus and apricot, very spicy and wild. Intense. Great grip with high acid and delicious. Nose - 5-5.5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17.5-18/20.

Temperature is key for enjoying this, the balance is there but only at colder temp. Golden apple yellow peach apricot and dried pear. So great with wagyu beef, tempura, anything fatty

Casual wine dinner at De Golden Spoon Seafood : Orange with a tinge of bronze in colour. Exactly what I look for in a sweet - tropical fruit of peaches and apricot, orange peel, but with structure and acidity. Great balance despite the unctuous texture, has the stuffing to go on forever.

The condition of the cork compromised the bottle - immediately obvious to some at the table, but ultimately revealed to all - as the nose, fruit, and acidity were all diminished or disjointed. Sad.

Jaune doré clair, le nez et la bouche est sur le caramel, coing, l'acidité de la pomme, c'est tellement vif, long et jeune que j'irais presque a dire que c'est pas prêt ! Idéalement attendre un autre 10 ans. C'est bien trop jeune comparé au 90 qui lui était à point.

Wow... just wow. So much pungent flavors of dried tropical fruits, citrus pith, honey, caramel and wet stones. Seems like a lot of botrytis here, but not in any way ponderous or blowsy. Still holding on to its acidity, with a long, crisp, lip-pursing finish. Wow.

Beautiful, luscious nose - orange marmalade, caramel, dried apricots, stone fruits. Very sweet though, perhaps a touch too much for me personally with the amount of acid. Intense, a little goes a long way. Aging beautifully, dark golden color but should have several more years to go.

Another Wine Slog Across France; 11/2/2019-11/13/2019 (Paris, Alsace, Burgundy, Encore Paris) : Last night's leftovers courtesy of new friends. Light golden. Platonic Loire late harvest nose-perfume, honeyed pear, and Christmas spice. Really elegant weight, not too gloppy. Sweet quince and citrus balanced by perfectly weighted acidity. Endless length. As good as it gets and ready to please for another decade or more.

Foreau, for some reason seems to languish behind Huet as far as reputation in Vouvray, but this bottle is another strong example of why that is not necessarily correct. Outstanding. Rich orange color. Powerful, beautifully integrated flavors of candied citrus, cooked apple, spices, and brown sugar. No chenin wooliness here, the extract is very fine and silky, and the sweetness is beautifully balanced by acidity, with just a touch of pleasant grippy bitterness at the back of the palate (botrytis?).
